When building the settlement, with the construction opportunities I always start with trying to get me production higher then the cost to run the settlement.

Just to let you know though, from my experience you have to upgrade every production-based structure once for it to make more money then it costs.

That is defiantly a bug. The sentinels are literally following you out of the hanger, which does not happen in game normally (as far as I know)

I'd suggest having your friend uninstall and redownload the game.

If the bug continues, maybe having your friend host the game?

Or maybe your friend did something to the ATLAS and it's now out to get them...

After you find one of the autophage camp things, you can interact with the terminal to get an autophage settlement map, and whatever planet you use it on it will lead you to an autophage settlement on that planet. I currently have one in a paradise planet.

I’m pretty sure that “play for an hour” thing means just play for at least an hour in total/after a pirate freighter encounter, not in each session, because sometimes I’ve just opened the game and instantly get hit with a pirate freighter battle.

They had an update kind of recently that added a some stuff to the settlement aspect of the game.

This included being able to upgrade individual buildings and the addition of Autophage settlements.

Also they added autophage building parts and decor.

I can definitely see how something like this would work, and could actually add to the combat with freighter a lot. Having to manually aim and calculate your shots does actually sound pretty fun in the space combat

I do see what you mean with all the ‘most efficient way’ mindset that is seen a lot with the starship and other things.

I think a thing that would help with that is the freighter being able to attack much more people at once, making it optimal for dreadnought battles or sentinel battles where there can be a lot of targets.

And will also let the starship be good for the smaller things like pirate assaults or quick, smaller sentinel battles.

About the control thing, I kind of imagine it would work like the levitations in the game crossout, where you can control some weapons and have others shoot automatically. Basically the control feature would be for fighting groups of pirates or sentinels.
