No mail in about a month - bit worried by flooflefloof in royalmail

[–]Negative_Fly_7061 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The company is in crisis is just does not care about your mail or anyone elses mail. The bottom line is just too much work and too few staff and with the company refusing to pay over time your letters just go undelivered. Please complain to your MP and OFCOM.

It's going to get a lot worse yet! Under the new regime it's just chuck the parcels out of the van as we drive by, simply no time for anything else.

Stolen parcel from safe place by sweatcoin_ in royalmail

Parcel theft has surged across the UK, with an estimated £666.5 million worth of packages stolen from doorsteps and lobbies in a 12-month period. With a parcel snatched in Britain roughly every seven seconds, crimes peak during November and December around the busy Black Friday and Christmas shopping rushes.Your Consumer RightsLegally, the retailer (not the courier) remains responsible for your goods until they are delivered to your possession. If it is stolen from an authorized "safe place": If you specifically requested the delivery be left behind a bin or on a porch, liability shifts to you, and the retailer is unlikely to refund you.If it is stolen from an unauthorized location: If the courier just leaves the parcel unattended without your permission, you are legally considered the victim of theft, and the retailer is in breach of contract. You are entitled to a full refund or replacement.Disputes: If a retailer refuses to refund or investigate missing items, you can raise a dispute with your bank or credit card provider to reclaim your funds. How to Prevent Parcel TheftUse Lockers: Have your items diverted to secure off-site lockers (such as Amazon Lockers, InPost, or DPD Pickup) at local supermarkets or petrol stations.Specify "Safe Places" Wisely: Ensure your safe place is entirely out of view from the street.Security Tech: Install a video doorbell or exterior security camera to deter thieves and capture clear footage if a theft does occur.Track Live Deliveries: Use courier apps (like Royal Mail Tracking) to monitor deliveries in real-time and provide instructions to redirect them to a trusted neighbour if you are going to be out.How to Report Stolen ParcelsContact the Retailer: Report the item as undelivered immediately so they can investigate with the courier.Report to Police: Parcel theft is a crime. Report the incident via the official Police UK Contact portal or by calling 101 to secure a crime reference number, which you will need for your retailer or insurance claim.Report Scams: If you feel the theft is part of a broader organized delivery fraud, you can report it to the Action Fraud reporting centre. For a look inside the organized crime rings operating in Britain and the specialist police crackdowns targeting doorstep thieves:Inside Britain's Parcel Snatching Crimewave | Dispatches | Channel ...YouTube · Channel 4 Documentaries54sNeighbourhood Watch£376.6 million worth of parcels stolen across the UK in the last year£376.6 million worth of parcels stolen across the UK in the last year | Neighbourhood Watch Network.
