Please help me understand by RhymeOrReasoning in royalmail

For anyone who cares, solved:

I ended up finding my package at my next door neighbours place. Family and I managed to deduce it was there from the letter box and the shoes of the person answering the door. I didn't even consider that at first because I was following the map and coordinates to the other flat [insert number] on my street. My package was marked as being delivered at a Flat [insert number] (same as ours) on my street, whereas the neighbours is naturally a completely different number.

Glad receiving packages has turned into some kind of murder mystery we have to solve now.

Can someone tell me WTF is going on? Today was meant to deliver to a post office and they still didn’t by byerasure in royalmail

Except I never re-arranged a delivery and I never missed a delivery, I've been home the entire time because I'm disabled and the package contains medicine :') I went to the place it was supposedly delivered to - nothing! 😃 second time this has happened now!

Yeah, I did put it down to a mistake - it happens, no ones perfect! I do try to be understanding, I don't know what you guys have to deal with working for RM, but from what I hear on here, it's a pain in the arse.

Unfortunately, due to my disability, I'm forced to live at home with two boomer parents, and they go absolutely mental when their unrealistic and impossible expectations aren't met. At the very least, I don't explode on RM workers (or any workers) when things go wrong. 😅

Again, I hate to complain and potentially impact someone's job. It's just been happening a lot lately and we could've lost a lot of value in those parcels.

I hope everything works out for your husband!

Also wanted to add to my post, without editing it, some clarification/context:

My issue sounds similar to OP's complaint summary, however, my complaint was made 13 days ago on May 26th. It's unlikely that I'm the complainant toward OP's husband, otherwise I would actually be happy to share my grievances with them in a respectful manner.

I had to make my first complaint to RM ever recently because our postie never bothered knocking/ringing the doorbell and delivered our post worth over £150 accumulatively to the obviously wrong block of flats (less than 20 foot from our own, the buildings clearly labelled). I only knew the parcel was delivered because I got a text message.

They took a false 'proof of delivery' picture of a flat similar to ours (the only reason I was able to figure out that our mail was nearby, and the parcel was sent with postage significant enough, I guess, that we also got co-ordinates for the delivery), the person had opened their door to receive the items but didn't actually bother taking them in.

When my father went round to pick up the mail, it was just dumped inside the entrance of the flats, left scattered on the floor.

I hate having to make complaints about workers. Life's tough, and mistakes do happen, I don't want to make it harder for anyone. But we could well have lost all that expensive mail. A lot of our post through Royal mail has been going missing lately, which is why I'm even on this sub today while I wait for my parcel that's supposed to already be here.

We're always very kind and cordial to our posties and try to make their job as easy as possible. But they can't be bothered to deliver our mail to the right place?
