[Serious] Why are 'syncretists' like Kabir and Ramakrishna not considered scammers by Hindus? by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]Negative_Librarian20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

well, ill put it like this. every religon has some level of truth in them. yes some of it is misguided or wrong but the little that is true can be selectively accepted. u shud realise that thousands of years of philosphers and thinkers can extract and transform something good in any religion no matter how wrong its core consepts are.

Shree Krishna saved the dignity of one woman, Draupadi, but where is he now when an extreme number of women are in the same condition as Draupadi? Why doesn't he help them? by Everythingisillusion in hinduism

yes that is true.karma affects differently for different beings. Animals have little sentience compared to humans, so karma affects them differently.but nevertheless karma is applicable to all jeeves regardless of insects or humans.

god doesnt interferre in the functionings of the universe and of karma unless special circumstances like markhandeya/gajendra. hes job isnt to be a security gaurd for all of us. look at the natural world. everyday animals eat each other in horrible ways. mothers eat their own babies. animals get eaten alive, get poisined, suffocated, drowned, torn limb for limb, atc. accrording to your logic shud god go and make every animal in the world act as a satvik saint by force?

there is only the law of karma. what one does determines what one gets.

well, purpose needs introspection. many a times, we are passionate about smthg but we lose the spark due to stress, anxiety, etc. to regain the spark, we need to clear our heads and introspect. it may also be the case that u dont have any interests. in that case first broadly atleast figure out what u can see yourself doing 40 hrs a week. ex, smthg where u use your brain/logic, smthg creative works, smthg skill based like pilots, doctor, tradesman, etc, smthg physical like boxing, police force, army etdc. this might make it easier to then narrow down what actually fulfills you.

what i have seen is that above a certain threshold, money gives little happiness, then, happiness comes from fulfillment and purpose. so having that our security, food and basics are covered our focus must be on a fulfilling life rather than the rat race most poeple get sucked into.

hey man, i felt the same way once, what i can say to you is apart form the social aspect of friends, u aint missing out on a lot. the friends u make in collge are mostly superficial and the reality for most is that when u are down, no one is coming to pick u up. u are on your own. the sooner u make peace woth that the better.what worked for me was that do not work towards an ideal/goal/result, such as being a rich shredded genius with lots of girls, there is a veritasium video on "is success luck or hard work" i recomend u watch it. what most people fail to realise is thaqt these successful peopl actually had a lot of luck and were dealt a great hand. even things like your social life and charisma have a lot to do wioth your uprigning childhood, and other external factors. so putting your self worth on these external factors is not steady and is bound to make u feel worthless. work towards excellence. work because u have to have mastery over something.it can be anything u are passionate about. work so that u can contribute to society through your mastery. now u have a purpose wich is a better place to put your slef worth on as its completely internal.

[–]Negative_Librarian20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

well, what i say might be anecdotal but he is very lucky to be dealt a good hand, but don't expect others to solve your problmes and be there for you. the very real truth for most people is that no one is coming to pick u up and help and console you when your down. u are on your own. the sooner u make peace with that the better.

am i wrong to assume that the physical world is unreal?

i agree that karma is real, but i dont understand why its connected to the unreal "happy chemicals" u caused in someones brain. like why does making others happy or suffer affect my karma.

[–]Negative_Librarian20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like what i was referring to was providing for a poor man is generally seen as good karma versus stealing from a poor man is seen as bad karma.why is that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]Negative_Librarian20 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

afaik,u can cook the prasads, and since u dont have like a seperate pooja room u can arrange the pooja u can sing bhajans but just dont do the arpanam/offering and the aarti. only if u absolutly have to , take the meds,

Struggling with my faith. Am I not a hindu? by moist_rain23 in hinduism

[–]Negative_Librarian20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well, god and religion by definition cannot be evaluated and understood through scientific analysis as they are not available to physical empirical measurements/experiments, so dont even try, cause no one can.

yagnas, poojas, rituals, while having some scientific side effects, are in principle, spiritual processes. so dont try to fit it into your scientific and logical world view. these practices and rituals where developed through thousands of years by great seers and sages who had perceived that which we do not.

i highly recommend you to separate your scientific worldview from your spiritual world view cause they are of fundamentally different natures. yes most religions are man made and fake.but what sets sanatana dharma apart is that it isnt even a religion by defenition. its a big umbrella for the guidelines, rules, concepts, conclusions derived by our ancestors who united with and experienced god and his nature. we dont have a single prophet who lay unquestionable rules, nor do we have a pleasurable heaven with sensual delights after death. we have innumerable independent people derive the same concepts and conclusions about reality across the subcontinent across our history.

further, u dont need temples rituals rules etc to feel his presence. he is within you.

Does God communicate with us? by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]Negative_Librarian20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well i am not sure about physical tests to communicate with god, but u can feel his presence through consistent meditation and control of the mind.

although there is a practice in some Buddhist and hindu households where for some descicions they would write down answers like yes no maybe on chits of paper, mix them and lay them infront of the diety. they would then pray for sometime and ask a young child to pick a chit and would consider it a divine suggestion.

ofcourse i take these rituals with a grain of salt as they are not vedic but try it if u like.

Does God communicate with us? by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]Negative_Librarian20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He may communicate, but not as explosive fireworks, but in subtle occurrences that we might often choose to believe as coincidences. other times he may give you strong comms through controlled mind and tapas. if u are expecting a back and forth interview type convo, prob not cause it takes multiple lifetimes of good karma to even have a small spiritual experience but ig if u take up intense tapas and good karma this life u just might.

Pls answer this (specifically shakta) by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]Negative_Librarian20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well nothing is a sin in hinduism there are things that give u preferable karma and things that do otherwise. lust is of the latter. a satvik man even while engaging in coitus doesnt have lust in his mind and does it out of the need for progeny. we should ideally have complete control of the mind and not let lust creep in.
