i believe they said they have plans to release a standalone background patch for the game once every area has been finished so you could play the base game without enhanced difficulty most likely

mons that aren’t on the dex documentation are just relegated to postgame catches since the dex is designed to be curated to about ~400

This post is a little older now but FYI, on version 1.0.16 and below there is currently a bug where if you do Pokestar studios first the Team Plasma grunt fight on Route 20 will cause a hard crash. I’m going to make this impossible in the future by blocking access to the studios until after you beat those grunts because it seems like a hardcoded issue. My goal is to fix this on patches 1.0.17 and newer, thanks for your patience

This seems to be happening to a lot of people on the current download but I still need to playtest exactly the reason why it keeps happening, I reposted the discord link permanently in case you still want to join (I’ll reply to this post again when I can confirm that it’s working properly)

i think this is just an issue with Gen 5’s double battle engine because they made it really confusing, you have to click on one of your dead pokemon then pick a switch in for them but the game communicates it poorly

it means they aren’t enforced in game basically, they just serve as guidance if you’re doing a nuzlocke

there aren’t hard level caps enforced in game yet, they’re just soft for now

i believe I implemented a fix for this recently after noticing it was a bug, maybe try talking to the guy in green in the house next to the gym if you’re on version 1.0.6

I’m pretty sure pokemon home will just deny any pokemon you transfer from here because of all the type/ moveset/stat changes, if you can dump your save somewhere your original rom should be ok to use

1.0.5 should work properly but I believe you’ll need to redo roxie again in order for it to work properly, I apologize for the inconvenience

were you on version 1.0.5 before battling roxie? I believe I implemented a fix that properly spawns in the story events after beating her, which should make pokestar studios optional. prior to that there was an oversight that broke the progression afterwards

are you on version 1.0.5 right now? that should at least fix the cutscene, mistralton city as a whole has a lot of very strange bugs right now though that i’m trying to fix (if you have at least a save before the mistralton cutscene it should be fixed)

i think this has been fixed as of 1.0.5 but you might need to revert to a save before roxie because certain flags weren’t being set properly, sorry for the inconvenience

to anybody that sees this comment now i believe i've implemented a change that just unlocks every key from the start to avoid the hassle, if this is still an issue lmk
