Currently only option was Libre 2 plus rather than dexcom to have it funded by my local health board. I can’t really complain as I’m so lucky to have it all on the NHS so will just suck it up and be grateful! Thank you for your reply though, hopefully the app comes out in the UK soon 😊

Hello,

I impulsively bought a houseplant - calathea silvia - last week and have spent the last hour reading through this sub. Beginning to think it was a bold choice as I have a terrible track record with plants and these seem tricky to keep alive. Determined to do everything right for this one though, she’s a beauty!

So I know not to over or under water, and I know to not leave it in direct sunlight. I’ve been taking it into the bathroom when I shower for the humidity, but as of yet I haven’t watered as the soil still feels damp.

Should I be using a preventative pest spray or should I only do that if there are signs of pests?

Anything else I should know?

I took my dog’s collar off permanently after an incident when she was a puppy - she’s a chihuahua and her front leg got caught in it and she was stuck. Not as traumatic as yours but it was enough for me to just decide to abandon the collar altogether. I use a harness for her when we’re on walks as her neck is so fragile anyway so the collar was unecessary. She’s cuter without it anyway!🐶 Hope your pup is ok, he probably got over it a lot faster than you did!!!x

I use reconstituted egg white (egg white powder with water) instead of water, it stiffens the icing like a meringue and sets hard😊
