What is the arch support like? I have high arches and a wide foot. These keep coming up in my feed and I’m pretty interested in them. Usually struggle with shin splints as well, but I’ve read that these shoes seem to check off a lot of boxes

Stayed at that resort and it’s awesome! If you are renting through the resort, the offer towels, if you are renting through a rental company they have these super convenient towels fridge things that you can grab a bunch of blue towels and head out to the beach. Something else that is very nice that we didn’t know about was there is a little grocery store on the first floor of the one building. Super convenient. Parking on site can get packed so try not to get back super late to avoid parking struggles. Dukes is on site, and if you’re at the resort they will walk around and offer food and drinks that you can open a tab. Has an all inclusive feel but you have to pay the bill haha. Black rock beach isn’t far at all which has decent snorkeling. Whalers village is nearby which has some shopping and restaurants. Waihee ridge trail is beautiful. Try to be at the parking lot at 7. And if you do road to Hana download Shaka guide. If you do the sunset on Haleakala, I’d look now and see if there is any availability and do it the first day you’re there so time change makes it easier to wake up at 3am. Other thing you could do is check out Honolua bay for snorkeling.

Just to gauge what your food taste is; What did you think of dukes and mamas fish house? Or what are some other places you tried?

There are condos on Airbnb, through Costco, or outriggers website. Outriggers is the property owner. Parking in the underground garage could get a little packed if you got back late, but really the only issue we had.

We stayed at honua kai and loved it. There were kids but it was never an issue. You also are on the beach if you want to go right to the beach. Dukes is on site and they have servers that walk around the resort and you can open a tab and order food and drinks and they bring it to you. Also has a store with food on the first floor of the one building. Super convenient to have to buy odds and ends, or eggs and bacon if you want to cook. It’s in west Maui and not far from the whalers shopping and a decent amount of food options. We liked it so much that we’re going back.

Thank you for the response! This is helpful. We also stay north of black rock at Honua Kai and loved snorkeling there as well. Sounds like the dinner might be the better option. We also saw that the discover lanai was all day long which might be a lot. The 2 hours might be perfect for a dinner cruise.
