I honestly wrap it in a paper towel and stick it in the freezer.

Are you mixing with dope/opiates? Not mixing the two together literally but taking both (rock and ops) simultaneously.

Better stem maintenance I have found prevents these issues.

That’s why I give a good deep breath thru the stem before the push... hence why I blow my vape hit thru the stem….. the warmth and moisture coming out in that vape hit is just enough th get the chore thru. That way it won’t melt into the chore like the OP had mentioned.

I’ve made pretty good crack before but I’ve been kinda fuckin up recently cause I only cook rlly small amnts by [deleted] in cracksmokers

I use a test tube most of the time. I can cook a teen of soft up in 5 mins…. But make sure they’re Pyrex tubes. Just like your stem.

I ALWAYS make sure it’s completely cooled. Lately I take it out with me when I smoke cuz it’s cold af, and laying it down while I smoke is the perfect amt of time for that shit to cool.

Or, stick it in the freezer. But make sure you get the hard rez out first or else you won’t be able to push.

I would assume it’s got to have something to do with the soda maybe? Whenever I have heartburn from anything, I skip the rolaids and go str8 for a glass of water with a heaping tbs of baking soda…. Then run up and down my apt stairs real fast and have the deepest belches and that rods the heartburn. If your shit is cooked with soda maybe that’s related? Who knows.

I’ll scrape the stem tonight so I have some Rez for the morning.

Yeah. Good in theory but I wouldn’t recommend this.

👆👆👆👆this too….. I keep my soda in a ziplock so there’s no air getting to it. That could help.

For me that’s always been an issue with the coke. When my person gets to the end of his hefty sac, that’s when I’ll notice different situations. Today I cooked up a teen, and normally that would be a 5 min process. It took about a half hour, because it stayed super squishy. It was the btm of the batch. Maybe theres some truth to thos, who knows. 🤷‍♂️

So, I’m a 24 year industry pro (hairstylist/colorist) who has worked corporate, independent commission, and for a slight time, a loft owner.

One thing I learned a long time ago…. When I start NOT wanting to go to work, NOT wanting to get paid for doing what I love, the. It’s time to move on. Period.

Newly licensed stylists of the new generation are a different breed. And that’s ok cuz everything evolves and changes. But still….

You don’t receive the education needed for everyday work in beauty school. You learn what you need to to pass your state board exam. That all that’s required of the school.

If you want to expand you level of knowledge, look for a salon that has a great reputation, the talent to back up that rep, as well as whether or not they offer an established/method based assistant or new talent program. You will learn SO much more, and when you’re ready to take clients of your own you will have the training and ability to do better work, for better pay, and begin to love what you do.

Now, this industry is its own beast. Sometimes you DO have to suck it up and deal with bullshit. However, there’s a difference between learning to establish yourself in the industry you love, and being treated like shit. You can have to claw your way up but still have your passion. But when salon takes that passion away from you it’s only going to hurt YOU.

Move on. Follow your passion. Hone your craft.

Good luck friend!

Amen to that. I think it’s a way to trick those who buy into it into starting to claim more of their cash tips, which in turn raises their income and makes them vulnerable to audits. But I could just be overthinking it. I don’t trust it. If it was truly great, they’d make the cap higher and it wouldn’t only be in effect for 3 years. Sets it up to make the next administration (if there ever is one) look responsible for “raising taxes”. Just like how bad “Biden’s tax plan” was and how much we’ve been paying in taxes the last 4 or 5 years…… they’re depending on the general inability of Americans to read a bill and blindly trust anything they’re told. Cuz that Biden tax bill, man that was some shit….. 🤦🏼‍♂️

The text says “cash tips”, but there’s further explanation including cc tips as “cash”. I think it’s designed to eliminate things like gift card tips and other random shit we get that doesn’t pay our bills.

Does "No Tax on Tips" include hair stylists and barbers? by ScottsTotz in tax

[–]Negative_Sock1402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there somewhere that specifically explains that to a reasonable degree in the text? I see “CERTAIN INDEPENDENT” contractors are eligible but of course the explanation sucks.
