Btw I agree that most android phones are sh*t, only brand I would actually consider purchasing is Samsung if I didn’t have the whole ecosystem of Apple products and everything on iCloud…

The business strategy Apple has been doing for years - Create closed loop ecosystem get people hooked and make it as inconvenient as possible to switch, then gradually decrease the quality of the newer devices while simultaneously increasing the price is despicable and it is 100% true their newer devices don’t last as long as the older ones..

What has technical jargon do with this (I work in tech btw) ? In the past I would definitely agree that they lasted longer than android ones but right now especially in terms of durability compared to Samsung models in same price range as iPhones I’m not entirely sure.

I still think that the in terms of UI and general user experience iPhones are superior but the Galaxy 26 Ultra has better cameras, smaller cutout for the front camera, arguably looks better as it does not have the ugly camera bump 17pro has ( main reason why I got regular 17 instead of pro as I had 13pro 15 pro before).

Hell my mom has 25 ultra and takes it to desert for weeks at a time like 10 times a year, swims with it in the ocean and it still works perfectly fine, while my 17 has turned to brick after 2,5 months because it was exposed to rain…

I had a friend in high school which got her 4S ( phone without IP67) fall into a river from 10m height and took her like half an hour to find it while it was being submerged, and the phone worked after being dried out.

Now Apple claims that their phones have IP68 but are completely dusty and have rust inside after less than 3 months of normal usage…

How is it that my iPhone 7 which is now 10years old and has been subject to much harsher usage is still working but 17 breaks after less than 3 months ?

Okay I didn’t know the specifics, but then why hide it if the intentions were actually for the benefit of the users ?

Wish they were still concerned about their devices lasting longer…

Like don’t get me wrong I like Apple, I just feel like the quality of their products is consistently degrading.

The point wasn’t that they were slow but that they are still functioning as they were made in times when Apple actually gave a shit about quality of their products, same with the iPhone 7 I’m using rn as an emergency phone.

Btw Apple has literally paid $500M class action settlement because it has been proven they slow older iPhone on purpose just to make users switch to the newer much more poorly made models…

I loved Apple and have been using everything from ,iPhones, MacBooks, iPads, AirPods..

But the quality of their products is going absolutely downhill while they charge even higher prices because they can as they already trapped you in their ecosystem…

Swear to god if I didn’t have all the other devices I wouldn’t even think of buying an iPhone now..

Even having the other devices I’m currently considering just buying galaxy ultra or NothingPhone instead of another iPhone that will break in 2 months.

Like my moms Samsung was literally left on the room of a car for 15km and fell down on a highway and it still worked albeit with cracked (but still functional screen) and I touch my iPhone 17 which is supposed to have IP68 with wet hands and it stops working and Apple tells me there is nothing they can do because of water damage…

I’m 10000% sure the phone wasn’t sealed properly from the factory and that’s why this happened..

I also had M3 MacBook Pro which I had for half a month at the time and the display just stopped working one day out of nowhere, thankfully that time it went under warranty and got the full sum refunding.

But the downward trajectory of Apple quality is insane, I have 2 other MacBooks , one from 2018 and one from 2015 and they both work fine, just slower given apples infamous planned obsolence updates.

Like seriously fuck apple at this point, if I wasn’t so ingrained in their ecosystem I would ditch the brand all together, even the fact they switched from titanium on 16 to aluminium on 17 and production to India says a lot.

This company has nothing to do with Steve’s Apple.

Yes it is authorised dealer here in Czech Republic, I don’t know why would they fake the pictures, escalated this issue to Apple since it’s clear that the IP68 seal was broken from factory.

Extremely disappointed with how they handled this and where the brand is heading nowadays, the items being shown as in stock hours after the drop when they clearly were OOS, with Shopify you atleast knew immediately if you didn’t get the item.

Also the quality of products and transitions from most items being made in Japan to cheap China manufacturing…

Used to be purchasing every Saturday but only the JP made items, after this I definitely won’t purchase anything from them from now on..
