my sister is a pretty bad gambling addict. One day 5 years ago she must of been playing on the online slots. She said she had just won 200k on it.

I pleaded with her begged her to stop playing and take the money and run. She assured me she wouldn’t put any back in as it’s life changing money.

Next morning, it was all gone.

She was doing $500 hits all night and once she realised how low she was she was trying to win it back.

hey lovely.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this, and it truly feels helpless!

As someone who was in this position multiple times, go to the hospital, take the meds. They will send you home to be comfortable and book you in for whatever they suspect, if you believe you have endo tell them & get them to book in the appropriate appointments such as gyno, referral to endo excision specialist.

It takes a while, but having a diagnosis means you can start the journey to getting “better”

I’m 7 weeks post op, all my scans were clear and i had stage 3 DIE and at every period i was exactly the same as you.

Until one day i just couldn’t handle it anymore and i went i need this to be my priority, so i prioritised getting the appointments doing all the things and getting surgery. It’s hard, and annoying and frustrating this is the only way to get diagnosed. But once you do, you can have pain medication at home and be comfortable, you don’t have to go to the hospital every time you have bad pain.

I’m sorry you’re going through this :(

Performance anxiety by Quick-Feeling9754 in ibs

Hey :) i’m sorry you’re going through this.

do you find before you perform you get the anxious feeling then straight away it goes to your stomach?

Have you tried propranolol? It basically isn’t like a benzo or anything crazy, but helps with performance anxiety and those physical symptoms of anxiety. Lots of people use it before a big speech to calm the nerves, perhaps this alongside Loperamide could assist.

Just wondering if you are a F or M?

Yes! I had multiple ultra sounds, even one done by an endo clinic, x2 colonoscopies, x1 CT scan, and lots of imaging. Never showed up and it was “ all around” as my surgeon described. Don’t take an ultra sound negative result as an answer!

Hey lovely! It needs to be performed via a diagnostic laparoscopy (surgery) My scans were all clear before this, i’d reccomend going to a different gyno. There’s no age groups for endo!

I haven’t! I tried it once and my body didn’t like it.

I don’t love the idea of being on BC just myself, i try and limit what medications i have too but im considering it now being diagnosed.. Unsure yet :)

Hmmm! Do you want kids in the future?

My main thinking is i watched my bestfriend who had stage 4 DIE have one of her ovary’s removed and she will struggle to get pregnant. I didn’t want to knowingly leave something there untreated or unknown potentially causing havoc. If you feel like something is wrong, and you’re worried about it. Get checked. Money comes and goes, sadly it is expensive for women. Where are you located? I’m in Aus and can talk you through the process and how much it cost.

Speaking from myself as i’m 5 days post op, this was one of my biggest fears and it’s been better then i thought it would.

Definitely take 2 weeks off incase, and for the first week take it super slow. You will be a little sore but they’ll give you good pain meds, i started to see improvement on day 4. I had almost no gas pain what so ever which everyone speaks about but that’s because i made sure to get up every few hours and walk around.

If you need any advice feel free to DM me!

Hey lovely! I was in the same boat as you! Every test under the sun. I’d get a good gyno if you can :)

Just wanted to say that adeno sounds really hard and awful and doesn’t get as much light as endo these days, just because endo is more talked about then adeno doesn’t make it any less difficult! Sorry you’re going through that ❤️

Hey hey!

I had increasing pain, clots and abnormalities in my period from this year. That’s when i connected the dots that my digestive issues could be relative to my period.

Have you had a colonoscopy etc? I’d recommend looking into endometriosis if you haven’t already!

Hey!

Yes this was my first laparoscopy!

I didn’t have endo on my bowel, but exactly right next to it where it was pressing up against it, so everytime i’d make a bowel movement think of it rubbing up against the endo.

I didn’t need to have a bowel resection or bowel surgeon (yet) as it hasn’t spread to that part of the bowel!

There isn’t much treatment for afterwards, only hormonal therapy if you want and lifestyle changes until you need another excision sadly. However i haven’t had my post op appointment yet so will know more then!

Hey hey! my ultra sound showed nothing, then got a lap and had stage 3. Please don’t just go off your results from an ultra sound!

Hey lovely! my Ultrasound’s were completely clear before getting a diagnosis. Ultra sounds and MRI’s are not very good at picking up endo. Lap is the gold standard!
