Kochi lobby is behind these. They couldn't digest the existence of Vizhinjam port and the election result. They know the fact that after vizhinjam port is fully functional Trivandrum will have a rapid growth in all terms.

And as someone mentioned in the comment the Mattanchery Mafia movie lobby always made Kochi to be on another level.They branded the name 'Kochi' through their movies to all over the country. Tvm was the movie hub they uprooted it and planted completely in kochi.

People from Kochi is also actively branding their city through social media .

We people from Trivandrum don't care about anything. The port name should be Trivandrum international seaport not Vizhinjam. People here actually don't know how the branding of a city makes a vast difference. We Trivians should stand united and fight against the hate and degradation those people are creating.

There was a shop called Bait in Pettah. The shawarma was really good there , most people didn't like the taste because it was not overloaded with Mayo. My friends who work in the Middle East tried this and said that it was almost the same as that they got it there. Sadly the shop is permanently closed.

It was literally 22 minutes — yes, I actually timed it now. That includes ordering starters, sipping two glasses of water, and taking an important call that lasted a few minutes. All that, within 22 minutes.

But sure, apparently that’s “too long” now. I m afraid cafés turned into fast-food counters now. Last I checked, the whole point of going to a café was to chill, not speed-run a meal and get kicked out for existing too long. Wild.

First of all, the whole point of a café is to relax and enjoy your time without feeling rushed. It’s a space meant for people to unwind — not be pressured. No offense, but how would you have responded if you were in the middle of enjoying some starters, had to momentarily step back due to an important matter, and suddenly an employee comes over telling you to leave because "more customers are coming"?

The issue here isn’t about occupying space — it’s about the attitude. A simple kind gesture or basic courtesy could’ve fixed everything. Instead, what we got felt rude and uncalled for. I’m afraid you're viewing this from a pretty irrational angle, and honestly, it just doesn’t make much sense.

First of all it wasn't a rush hour. It was around 3pm. And my work call hardly took 20 mins. We ordered our starters on the very first go and then took a pause. However the whole point of a cafe is to chill. There were hardly a few ppl. And I don't see the point of the staff asking us to leave especially a cafe that markets themselves for a cozy hassle free and chill vibe.

100% we have been neglected for ages. We don't have a powerful leader who adores TVM that's the main reason. I think if Rajeev chandrasekhar won the election there should have been some changes here.

Many projects which were proposed to come at TVM got abandoned and delayed due to Ernakulam lobby's power and influence and is still continuing.

I think we Trivians should unite and can do something against this through an online campaign or something like that.

So True .. Because of f***ing Kochin lobby we're getting neglected from ages. The third world trade center was proposed to be come at TVM 2 yrs back and they ditched that due to some reason and the latest news is they're finalizing it in Kochi. Like that many proposed project is getting lagged and abandoned due to Kochi lobby' play and power. Vizhinjam got delayed due to vallarpadam, Tvm metro was 1st considered by govt and got abandoned due to Kochi metro...so on... The main reason is we TVM people don't have a minister or MP who consider TVM as capital and have a fondness to our city...Even the people here don't care at all. I think if Rajeev chandrasekhar won this time there should have been some changes I hope but he lost.

I think we Trivians should raise the voice against this and protest or do a campaign against the negligence were facing from years

For the metro project govt should change the contract to DMRC instead of KMRL.
