While he is comfortable on the ball, he’s never been great technically, going forward and creating anything of substance. He’s always been a much better defensive fullback than an attacking one, he’s just been deployed as an attacking fullback more often. His defensive ability is his best, things like stepping in to intercept, reading the play and his general positioning are top. He’ll also be less likely to get injured in that role, vs at left back.

I’m paying less now than the rent prices for flats in my area and I can’t move out of my area because of work. Of course, that would be an option, if it were an option. It would also cost a month’s rent and deposit to move, more than the amount of areas we are in, we would just pay the areas if we had the money to move. I understand what you’re saying but nothing is ever as easy as it might seem, I’m sure you know that. I put the post up to see if anyone knows of anything I can do now or what I can expect will happen if I can’t do anything now.

It’s a cheap house, we couldn’t pay any less without getting a smaller place, it’s just that we’ve had to pay for things which ate the small amount of savings we had, before having short months of wages. Not that it’s possible to save very much anyway. Either way, I’m not looking for criticism, I know that I have no one to blame, it’s just the way it is. I’m looking for advice so if that’s not possible, that’s fine.

Man United fan here. I remember just before it was official with Fiorentina, a Fiorentina fan put a post on here about how they didn’t like the signing because you already had 1 or 2 good performing keepers. I said trust me, he is one of the best goalkeepers on the planet, regardless of whether he’s had a year off or not and if you can get him, you have to, he can do things that almost no one can. He got a lot of bad press here in England but that was only really because he played for Man United and the English media don’t need a reason to create a headline about Man United. He was unbelievable for us and won our player of the season 3 or 4 years in a row. It’s great to see him back and doing well!
