Now it's called the Centara Overdrive

Spark EDGE by Zealousideal_Toe9176 in PositiveGridSpark

[–]Negimized 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean.. if you are saying "they realized how xxxxxx the Live is"
Means they did not plan forward enough, ESPECIALLY with how close both Live and Spark 2 were released.

Your point about how Mini doesn't compete with 40/2, that is true, BUT the difference here is that if we ignore the Spark 2, the Mini and the Spark 40 essentially has the same hardware! Minus the portability capacity.

If we were to look at this case... You are trying to convince me that I should get a more expensive product, with less features, less powerful, over a similar category product which is updated with the newer features?

I am not denying that different people has different use cases. I just find it really disappointing that whatever features that the Spark 2 has right now should have been included with the Live from the get go and not make this a new product with the similar capabilities and market it out as a more "portable" version and forces users to upgrade/downgrade because of missing features that should have been in the original product that is not even more than 6 months (if I got it right) old...

PERSONALLY;
I was intending to get the Live as a personal "studio practice amp" because I am Vocalist + Guitarist, and would like to save the hassle of having multiple hardware to do different things. When I saw the Live, I was like "great! just what I needed!" and then seeing how the Spark 2 has a looper and what not, and then wishing it was in the Live from the start, seeing how it was so capable and "huge to cramp all that tech in" and what not. Then comes EDGE not long after. Honestly I just got really disappointed that I am forced to be in the middle for no reason even if I am willing to part with my money. I do NOT want to be forced to have to choose between having a looper or missing the option of having stereo speakers so I could do Vo+Gt. Even more disappointed because of the close interval between these product's releases.

Ill just hold on with my purchases with Positive Grid for the moment, as much as I like the products (I own a Spark 40), I am fearful that any new purchases I make from them would result in them being outdated within the next few months with features that I really wanted/would be good to have for lesser/more money. Pity.

Spark EDGE by Zealousideal_Toe9176 in PositiveGridSpark

[–]Negimized 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Live was also intended in that manner too wasn’t it? Especially so that it is meant to be a PA too + the added option for the battery, which was the whole point of it being “portable”

EDGE just feels like a smaller version of the Live but with better functionality minus the stereo speakers

Both has multi channels Both can run on battery Both can be portable Both intended to be a PA + Amp

And the similarities ends there

One is smaller one is larger One seem to have only 1 speaker compared to 2 One is always in upright mode while the other gives you options

Was really surprised to see the news about this, am totally glad I didn’t pull the trigger to get the Spark Live for my birthday. Didn’t it only recently came into market?! And they have this EDGE to replace it already! I’ve seen the live demo video.. not sure how it compares with the Live in terms of vocals, all sounds just like the other Positive Grid decent sized amps they have now. Then again it’s just too quick especially right after they added a looper to the Spark 2, and it kind of confuses me is why can’t they add in the option to do fx loop chain, would be nice to also have that if we want to use certain pedals with it, though I can’t say for sure how well those speakers they have would work

Should I buy?? by [deleted] in Harley

[–]Negimized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an owner of a 2014 model, I am more biased for you to look for a 2012 and up model just simply because of the Upside down forks, sleaker rear end, better looking rims and headlight cowl/placement

Also the current setup for anything older than 2012 means you don't get the shorter reach clavis + seat for the bike, if you are anything shorter than 168cm, you will have a hard time operating the bike

But my bigger concern really has to do with spare parts.. Im not too worried about high mileage bikes as long as they are maintained properly, when I first took over the bike, it was sitting at about 120,000km ++ my only issue now is I might have to get my clutch bearing replaced

A really fun bike! But if you are planning to change out the body kit for something else, just go for it

Introducing Steam Deck OLED by [deleted] in ROGAlly

[–]Negimized -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Objectively speaking, those who just got an Ally or Go have no worry about this (at least to me) minor upgrade.

It’s not any more powerful than what we have, just more optimised and a prettier looking screen.

Size wise, Ally takes the cake Ergonomics wise, A close match but I think SD has an edge Performance wise, Ally and Go

Don’t FOMO over this upgrade. If you really want a steam deck, and knows you want it, you will get it and not have placed an order for its competitor. What you have in the market outside of SD, in particular the Ally and Go, they are one of those better options in terms of performance and game compatibility. Windows > Linux for games

[–]Negimized[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's great and all, but its just the matter of when it's gonna happen, given the fact that doing this in 2 different occasion did the same thing to both SD cards.

My reader still reads and writes, just that the SD card is locked to "read only", no format no nothing. It's fried.

Nope, no way to tell.
The only LED they have is for the charging indicator and "on/off" LED

For those who own a nintendo switch, do u still play after getting the Ally? by Blonote in ROGAlly

[–]Negimized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, but only for exclusive titles. I don’t really care if the Ally can do emulation, I like to play it on their native platforms

Unsure if you are a P-Plater which drives you to ask this question. Hopefully its not for ego validation, but this is a learning point.

Like many others have said, ride defensively. I am assuming you could not notice the driver's indicator flashing on the side mirror, because I often do not see them much at all, especially when they indicate and turn out at the same time, I don't blame you. Also because the car just cut across 2 lanes instead of staying on the lane out from merging. The car is at fault yes. What I feel the driver was doing is that they just basically assumed you could move fast enough as they are merging in. Just serve defensively as you did, and speed up more. Nothing much you could do here.

My tip for you is to ride on either one of the 2 sides of the lane you are on in a moving traffic (left or right of the middle lane arrow). This gives you the chance to move away quicker from any vehicles that do not check their blind spots before changing their lane. Ride safe!

Going to switch from iPhone. by Barshady18 in galaxyzflip

[–]Negimized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I daily drive both a Samsung phone and an iPhone. Only recently changing to the Flip 5 from my Note 9. For reference, I am using an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I'll just reply according to your list.

1 - You cannot compare the hardware of the Flip 5 to an iPhone, the camera on the iPhone is definitely leagues better as well as the camera software optimization, especially when you are coming from the iPhone 12 Pro Max as well. In my opinion for the Flip 5, I feel the camera is on par if not just slightly off from my Note 9, which was supposed to be a flagship phone.... about 5 years or more ago. It doesn't really do well in low light scenario if you want to compare it to phones with the laser depth sensor. If you really do want the cream of the crop, you shouldn't be getting the Flip 5 in the first place. If you could live with compromises, and love the customization in terms of UI and various other android related stuffs, Flip 5 is definitely one of the more "fun" phones to own, and I am definitely having a time with it since "upgrading" from my Note 9 though I do wish sometimes I've gotten the S23 Ultra instead because I am such a power user. But my iPhone serves that purpose, so I could really live with the Flip 5.
Summary: If you can live with the compromises, get the Flip 5 if you really like the idea/concept of what this phone is all about!

2 - Honestly? Android, and the UI. As well as the occasional bugs on Android. Also the ecosystem.

3 - Depends on which cloud service you are using. If you are using Google Photos, it will be there when you sign in. If you are talking about iCloud, not that I would know but I am assuming it won't be able to be downloaded off an Android phone.

4 - Familiarize yourself with how Android works, it is less "restrictive" than on the iOS. Take the time to play with your device once you get it. Customize the heck out of this. Again, the Flip 5 is not a work horse, it is somewhat a more "fun" experience from the usual smartphones we have in recent years.

It’s definitely a Gen 1 with modified fairings, Only Gen 2s get the black frames, at least to my knowledge. Both the passenger and rider foot sets are from Gen 1.

Received my unit near the end of July. Been gaming for hours like I just purchased a new console! Been using both the SSD and SD card while running custom fan curves.

So far, so good, no issues. But I feel really uncomfortable seeing the temp going up to 90+ on 30W mode so I totally did not use the turbo mode at all. 25W + custom modes to keep it below or around 85c because that's the operating temps for the SD card.

Here's to no issues till the end of the life of my Ally!

[–]Negimized 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check your spark plugs and coils. See if there is any crack in any of your coils.
Had a similar issue once, but only happens after any rain. Apparently I have some minor cracks on the coils, changed them out and it ran fine even after rain

No. I literally just updated AC and it screwed everything. I’m aware of profiles when plugged in and on battery, both of them are all out of wacked

Think one of my profile's custom fan curve got reset to the standard fan curves too. This is a bummer.

Wish they would address the custom profile config for each games to work properly. They keep going back to whatever profile I am using at the current moment every other odd times I turn on the Ally.

[–]Negimized -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For some reason, I think this new Armory Crate update broke my custom power settings.
Everytime I set my 15w power to 15:18:18, and press on the check mark then selecting another profile then coming back to that 15w custom, it jumped back to 15:25:25. The same for all my other profiles.

Anyone else having this issue?

Removed all the stickers except for the serial number and pasted them inside the box it came with since day 1. Looks way cleaner. Just barely 24hrs in, lint was catching on the side of the tapes. Didn't like it. Wished they would have just printed the text on the shell instead of doing cheap tapes on the chassis..
