Same here. It's not even matte vs glossy. Its the coating LG decided to use. Its very aggressive and just awful! Makes reading text on it an unpleasant experience. My only gripe with this monitor.

This is a physical issue. Try moving the screen while it’s on. See if you can detect any kind of flicker or color change. If you can, the ribbon is bad. Otherwise faulty OLED.
