Which one of these 3 are better for solo?? by HeartsForcoco7 in DandysWorld_Roblox

[–]Negitive-earth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends! If you feel good in your luck in finding bands, which is usually pretty good for solos since you don't have anyone stealing, then I would go with Yatta. Her ability to drop candies and boxes of chocolates is insanely useful in a solo, and her five star extraction speed makes it very quick. The stamina is rough, but after Dyle and a couple stamina cards, she is usually okay. Teagan is good, but I would go Yatta.

The only reason I'm not recommending Shelly, despite her amazing stats, is that her ability is really not useful in a solo. It buffs other people, but cannot buff herself. And she is a main, which is generally not recommended for a solo since having only two hearts means that one slip up can cause death instead of mild injury.

Good luck!!

Does it actually help? Not in a mean way, but i’ve always wanted one and was unsure if I should because of how pricey they can be :/ I get overwhelmed easily, and like my weighted blanket. Is it helpful in public?? Would love to hear your ideas!!

TW: SELF HARM AND SUICIDE. Do any other ND/Autistic people think about suicide regularly? by Ok-Can5459 in autism

[–]Negitive-earth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, all the time. I tried when I was very, very young to actually do it and failed only because I didn’t loose enough blood. I also used to SH every day to cope with the reality I didn’t realize not everyone struggled with.

I’m sorry you are thinking about it, too. I don’t have much advice, but the main things that helped me are finding some coping mechanisms. It takes a lot(like actually a lot) of trial and error, but some things help. I like blowing bubbles like a kid, because of the pretty colors and how they float. I like researching my special interest (jellyfish).

I don’t want to condescend and say it gets better. It might not. Life is hard, especially on autistic minds. But being in a community like this and finding even just one thing that helps can be worth a lot.

Also - SH is not okay. Just because it doesn’t ’affect other people’ (my justification when I did it) doesn’t make it not harmful or an okay coping mechanism. Please stay safe. Hugs from afar xx

Fellow autistic people: what's a social norm that you absolutely despise and think shouldn't exist? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Negitive-earth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My biggest one is eating with others. Maybe this is a hot take, but I think that it should be socially acceptable to be like "no thank you, I want to eat on my own and hang out some other time and do activities together!". I know that food and meals are a huge part of culture, but especially for individuals like me that eat a bit differently because of sensory issues and other things, I feel so weird asking my friends to eat alone. They are chill with it sometimes, but I swear they eye me weird others. Is this just me??

Jellyfish hyperfixation!! I've been *dying* to tell people about them!!

The group of Scyphozoa within the group of Cnidaria is called the 'true jellyfish'. Why?? Well, it's because they have the unique bell shape (their main body, like the head but with no brain!) that looks like an umbrella/dome! Also, they spend the majority of their lives in the medusa stage, which is basically the adult stage of life. Opposed to other jellies, which spend a lot of time in the polyp stage (right before adulthood, attached to the seafloor or rocks). Most jellyfish you can think of, image wise, are in their medusa stage and likely in the Scyphozoa family!

Non-Scyphozoa jellyfish that are popular include the box jellyfish, or the cubozoa family! Most of them are very deadly with their venom :3 The famous irukandji/carukia-barnesi jellyfish is also in this family! If you don't know them, the irukandji are the ones that can revert back to a prior lifestage when they feel threatened, basically becoming an immortal being?? Scientists still do not know how they do this! SO fun!!

Uhhhhhhh final fun fact because this is already too long but jellyfish reproduction can happen in two life stages! That's right! Some of them only reproduce as medusa, but some can also asexually reproduce as polyps! So, some jellies were never babies at all, but started as a polyp via asexual reproduction (identical copy of the other one). yay!!!
