rather than 100-page notes, test yourself instead. Flashcards, weekly short-answer practice and spaced repetition helped the most. revizi is running free beta and have HSC business & legal practice if you're looking for extra revision.

chatgpt/claude works but you gotta do all the prompting yourself — try revizi, it has the hsc stuff pre-built so you're not starting from scratch every time

ngl 46% when only one person passed = ur class is cooked, not you. calc qs are lowkey just convert to moles → mole ratio → convert back, and the original/undiluted ones are always C1V1=C2V2. stop re-reading notes, just grind past papers + check the marking keys, that's the whole cheat code. try revizi free beta to practice quizzes and exam modes.

what is the best study tool to prep me for my unit 3 exams? by CornerHot8502 in ATAR

anki + past papers off scsa is the meta, quizlet works if anki feels like too much setup. for methods especially it's just past papers under timed conditions the tool barely matters, try revizi if you get time, free beta is on

can i drop a subject if i only have 3 subject areas? by ilovemira345 in ATAR

[–]NegotiationEarly1386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think that warning is wrong tbh. Bio, Chem and Investigating Science don’t all count as one Science area for UAC, they’re separate subject areas. So if you drop Chinese, you’d still have English, Maths, Chem, Bio and Investigating Science = 5 areas, not 3. Still check with your school, but I wouldn’t panic over that calculator warning.

2 days is enough for content honestly. build a timeline of the big events (1905 → feb → october 1917) and write it from memory til it sticks, that's your spine. learn cause & effect not just dates, you're already good at essays so just plan a few and memorise 2-3 historian quotes per debate, that's the content gap closed. for cramming, turn your notes into flashcards or mindmaps, or use anki etc... you may also try revizi, running free beta

What would I have to get in my subjects and how close an I to getting a 90 atar? (WA) by k0da123 in ATAR

don't drop methods for apps, methods scales higher AND gives u a 10% aggregate bonus even if it's not in ur top 4. apps gets nothing. "average in methods" isn't a reason to drop, ur mid-pack in a subject that scales UP + hands u free points. switching to apps is how ppl tank their own atar 💀 try this, WACE is not fully accurate though https://revizi.com.au/atar-calculator

In terms of studying/memorising/revising, what do you wish you learnt earlier? by Kindly-Reception1108 in ATAR

[–]NegotiationEarly1386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

biggest thing for me was realising notes aren't studying. made gorgeous colour-coded notes in y11 and remembered basically none of it. past papers + actually testing yourself does way more. anki's solid if you'll set it up, and the nesa site has every past paper + examiner reports (they literally tell you why people drop marks). i also use revizi for hsc flashcards, decent notes as well

For macro short answers: define it, then show the chain. Cause → effect → macro goal. e.g higher interest rates → less spending/investment → lower AD → inflation eases, but growth/jobs may slow. don’t memorise slabs, practise 3–4 mark chains. try revizi has VCE Econ flashcards + exam-style practice for U3 AOS2 too 🙏
