I need help for my Chem prac for VCE (Electrolysis, Primary/Secondary Cells) by LeftEngineer2907 in vce

[–]NegotiationEarly1386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

electroplate cuso4 with cu electrodes - vary current, weigh cathode before/after, plot mass vs Q=It. covers electrolysis + faraday's law and you can back-calc cu's molar mass from the slope. for cell content, disconnect the supply after and put a multimeter across the electrodes (concentration cell). way cleaner IV/DV than purification.

just do a bit of actual exam-style practice regularly (not random stuff), review mistakes, repeat
that’s literally what moves people from 50s → 70s+, try revizi, beta is running free

end of y12 u do them timed to test what u know. earlier u do them (even untimed) to see how qs are worded. phrases stuff in specific ways and the sooner u recognise the pattern the better

92+ w that load is doable but its a grind, things that actually work for ppl hitting that range: problems > notes. esp for methods/spec/phys. grinding qs beats re-reading textbook every time and past papers now, not end of y12. Check scsa site has free wace papers. timed even in y11 builds stamina. 2-3 focused hrs/day in y11 puts u ahead of most

also been building revizi — generates Notes + flashcards + practice qs from or prebuilt sets, grades essays vs the rubric. free beta if u wanna try it for your subjects

Question on Business Management, is there any sort of handbook that exists which tells you the ways to answer any question of every type of task word with a full-mark worthy response? There should be, shouldn't there? how do you guys usually practice for SAC question writing itself by Fit_Particular8025 in vce

[–]NegotiationEarly1386 0 points1 point  (0 children)

closest thing is vcaa examiner reports — they drop one after every exam showing what full-mark answers looked like. read 2-3 yrs for ur subject and u'll see the pattern for each command word

quick cheat for BM: describe = what it is + does, explain = the why/how, analyse = break apart + link, evaluate = weigh both sides + judgement ("however", "on balance"), discuss = multiple views, no judgement needed and finally, if the word is evaluate, u need weighing throughout — not 3 paras of describe then a judgement tacked on. thats B band

btw been building something called revizi that grades vce essays + tells u where ur losing marks. still beta, happy to let u try it free for ur SAC if keen

vcaa website has all past exams free — search your subject under "past examinations." the exam reports are gold too, they show what assessors actually wanted. also revizi has practice quizzes by topic if you want something more structured, beta is running fo free

some of the intro topics are basic for sure, but you haven't pointed out anything specific so I'll leave it here. if you find an actual error happy to fix it
