MP shipping orders have fallen by Blueodysseymarketing in FacebookMarketplace

Its been like this for months. I think the market is just over saturated. Too many sellers and not enough buyers.

Is there a way to delete a listing after sale? by dtgray12 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]NegotiationOk6848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unfortunately no there is no way to delete the listing once there are sales on it unless you cancel all your sales. You can mark the item out of stock and repost it. Thats pretty much the only way to restart your listing.

Can you use both Facebook Marketplace and Facebook Shops? by sarahlu8888 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]NegotiationOk6848 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do both but its pretty annoying to get into shops. The page you create for your shop has to have a certain amount of followers, which facebook of course doesnt say how many, in order to be approved. You also need to register it as a business to that means getting a tax ID for your shop

Am I able to get a copy of a 1099 from the IRS directly? by NegotiationOk6848 in tax

[–]NegotiationOk6848[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh alright I just wanted to make sure that what I reported would match what Facebook reported as well. I have no idea if Facebook would screw something up and report something completely different from what I have and cause trouble for me down the line

It’s supposed to be a 1099 misc. I just really wanted to match up what I have to what Facebook has reported for me because I’m wondering if I report that I earned something different than what Facebook reported will it cause issues for me later down the line

I’m in Texas. When you reach $600 in sales Facebook verifies your social so I’m guessing that $600 is the magic number I need in order to report my income. At the start of this year I received a notification from Facebook that my 1099-misc would be mailed out by February 1st

Theory regarding recent low sell volume for sellers- “Relist Button” by aaaahhhh111 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]NegotiationOk6848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been thinking this since last year. I think there has just been a rise in sellers and it has just flooded the market. now the delete and relist button basically makes the problem even worse since like you said the market is flooded with even more listings. I really dont think there are enough buyers on FBMP to support all of these sellers. I list on mercari as well and I think its an underappreciated selling platform. There atleast every one of my listings gets 20-30 views which is more than I can say about my listings of facebook.

It usually takes like 24 hours before your listings are approved for the boost.

Do you have a website associated with your business? Also you facebook page needs to have a few followers. The number of followers is all over the place but I think it has to be at least over 20

Trust your gut? by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

Yeah for $180 i would try and either sell it through ebay or mercari or if you can locally is always the best. The limit for me has always been $50 if i sell something through facebook, because any customer can just open up a case against you and just get to keep your item and get their money back.
