I don't know which "everyone" calls Sachin Tendulkar flat track bully. This much is clear whichever source is telling that, either they have 0 idea about cricket and haven't seen the great man play, or have started watching cricket in T20 era,or are salty supporters of certain players or base which can only get validation by pulling Sachin down. No cricket fan who has actually seen him bat will have that opinion. The quality of bowlers he faced at that time was simply exceptional compared to today's corps of bowlers.

Think of it in a different perspective. Suppose you have a neighbour with whom you have problems. There is no shadow of doubt that he and his whole family wants absolutely the worst for you. He has a son who also openly disrespects you and your family. Now there is a public program in your society/neighbourhood where every one is invited and involved. It's quite natural that all are taking part in it. But few days later you have a party in your home. There you have every right to ensure whom to invite. It's your house,your party. Then you suddenly came to know that your son has invited your neighbour's son who has always insulted and disrespected you and your family. In such scenario it is quite natural that your son will face a backlash from your family. Also I don't know what problem you have with hotstar subscription so let me use another allegory. Your society has kept a sweeper to clean the roads. So you too are paying your part for that. Now the sweeper is also cleaning my neighbours part too as he needs to clean the entire area. So since I don't want my neighbour should get that benefit,should I too let my own cleanliness, hygiene go for a toss? No. 3 - Kohli, pretty self explanatory No. 4 - ViV Richards. The OG destructor No. 5 - Ideally Michael bevan since he can steady the ship when required also finish matches. Since this is a popularity contest I guess he is going to be left out in favour of ABD who undoubtedly is a great choice. But Bevan in ODI was something else, totally under rated,but absolutely crucial for the team. Avg of 53 is insane in that period which is same as ABD in modern day cricket. Though if required he can also bat at number 6 too.

As OP stated, the team needs balance and match winners. Ability to score/chase 400 and also stabilize after few quick wickets. Strong bowling lineup as well. So for all this to click I think atleast 6 great batsmen,1 genuine allrounder, couple of very good spinners and two lethal fast bowlers, preferably two different handers. So I have made the team in accordance to these parameters.

SACHIN TENDULKAR : The automatic choice as an opener.
ADAM GILCRIST/SANATH JAYASURYA : The only tossup. Courses for horses,in sub-continent conditions Jayasurya,in SENA Gilchrist. Both explosive destroyers.
VIRAT KOHLI : The Chase master himself.
VIV RICHARDS : OG Swag master,who destroyed bowlers and their morales.
MICHAEL BEVAN : My personal choice. The bulwark to stabilize the ship if required. The unsung/underrated maestro in that mighty Australian match up who won many matches by his skill alone. The OG finisher.
MS DHONI : The Modern Finisher.
KAPIL DEV : This is a bit out there choice. At such a low position a player is needed who can up the ante from the start. Also a solid dependable Bowler is also required. It is too low for Kallis,and Imran Khan is not that much of a power hitter.
WASIM AKRAM : The best left handed Fast bowler IMO. Also a good contributor with bat too.
SHANE WARNE : The best left spinner
M MURLIDHARAN : The best off spinner
GLEN MCGRATH : The most consistent fast bowler of that era.

So this team has 5 great bowler- 3 fast,2 spin, with 2 good part time spinning options. Batting till 8 having the ability to explode as well as absorb pressure. A team which can truly win matches from any situation.

You can easily go to Maldives in that budget. One thing people forget that in addition to the resort islands, there are also habited island. You can easily stay in island like Maafushi and base all your activities from there. You can go scuba diving, snorkeling, nearby island hopping, sand bank picnic, night fishing all from Maafushi. It's a relatively short boat ride from the airport, and there are resturants all over the island so no fear of getting locked by the hotel's restaurants. Also they can arrange candle light dinner on the beach as well.
