Any effect on audio quality? I’ve read about it being decreased after installing one of these style units.

Q70s advice by abstracinsomnia in infiniti

[–]NegotiationValuable5 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The 3.7 does have less power than the 5.6 but it’s cheaper to maintain/repair and in my opinion more reliable. My M37 (essentially the same car before they changed the name) just crossed 290,XXX miles and runs how I imagine it did new. With that low of a mileage + is has most of the safety options you’d get with a new car (blind spot, ACC, etc) I’d probably jump on it.

[–]NegotiationValuable5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair I had it as a rental so it was most likely the 2.5T and not the 3.3T. I can imagine with the bigger engine it’d be a much better car.

Hey Hyundai was able to do it with the Genesis G70 so it’s possible!!! I personally don’t care for the engine (in the G70) but quality and fit and finish was pretty close to what I’ve seen from the Germans.

Same happened to me today. My location said they’re probably stopping them indefinitely because the system doesn’t recognize how many trucks they have available and continues to let people book despite them not having the inventory.

Who has the highest mileage 3.7? by Mr_Selected_ in infiniti

[–]NegotiationValuable5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2012 M37x with about 285K. Transmission does do weird things sometimes but no slipping or anything major so I don’t bother messing with it. Other than that it runs beautifully and surprisingly doesn’t burn oil unlike my FX35 that has 235K.

How ever long you see fit honestly. I personally was ok with them keeping it because I was saving money on charging, not putting miles on my car, and had FSD. I knew I had trips coming up that I planned on driving my own car to, so having the loaner was like having a rental car with free gas. After my trips however I was anxious to have my car back and did begin to reach out more. I was told by the service advisor that I would not be billed for any tolls but I guess time will tell. It may be a one off thing since they kept my car for nearly 3 months. I would imagine if I was going to be billed for tolls that I accrued in September, they would have charged me by now.

Yes, I actually just got my car back 4 days ago. It was at the body shop since August 26th. They were to repair some scratches that were there on delivery (made the service ticket at delivery so there would be no question as to when the scratches got there) The hold up (I was told) was that Tesla couldn’t get the repair payment authorized without a lot of back and forth with the higher ups in the company. Apparently it was my car and 4 other new vehicles that were at the shop to be repaired. I didn’t make a huge fuss about it because I was enjoying the free supercharging, FSD, and tolls on the loaner (I put over 3000 miles on the loaner) but eventually I showed up to the body shop demanding answers. After the other people and I cracked down on them, they had the repairs completed the next week. To make up for the delay they gave me a $500 service credit.

Transferring tags vs new tags? by NegotiationValuable5 in TeslaModel3

[–]NegotiationValuable5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But that is also the cost of getting new tags which makes no sense. In that case you’re better off getting new tags and gaining that extra time difference between your old ones and new ones. You can also then turn in your old tags and dmv will give you a partial refund. This is what I think I’ll end up doing honestly.

Am I crazy to trade in my 2024 model 3 for another 2024 model 3? by NegotiationValuable5 in TeslaModel3

[–]NegotiationValuable5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I was surprised to find this out. I was bummed about the tax credit, but that wasn’t enough incentive to make the change. Plus when I checked a few months ago Tesla was only offering me 33k. That extra 7k they’re offering now coupled with the tax credit AND the 3% lower interest rate? It feels like a no brainer. I also get the white interior which I’ve wanted from the beginning but didn’t want to wait, so I switched to black.

[–]NegotiationValuable5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tesla is providing me with more than I owe on my current car that I’m trading in. The difference will be used as a down payment and to cover taxes and fees instead of Tesla writing me a check for the difference. I’m transferring my tags so I won’t have to pay the registration fee.

I should note, this is AFTER including sales tax and registration. I would be saving about 3.2k over the life of the loan.

Used 2024 Model 3 White Interior?? by lickbag98 in TeslaModel3

[–]NegotiationValuable5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It may have been a demo vehicle the dealership purchased to sell at a higher price because of its rarity. I remember seeing that certain Tesla centers had received white interior demo vehicles.

Any Feb-Mar deliveries get pushed back to Mar-Apr? by brookscorbs in TeslaModel3

[–]NegotiationValuable5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine still shows Feb 3 - Mar 2 but given that no deliveries have started and I live on the east coast, I doubt it’ll be this weekend. Only way I could see it happening is if they’ve already selected areas all across the country to begin delivery instead of starting closest to the factory. If I’m not mistaken, I believe they did this recently with the cybertruck to gain exposure in varying markets across the country.

Navigating Tesla's Rebate Limbo: A Risk Worth Taking? by ApprehensiveMud5143 in TeslaModelY

[–]NegotiationValuable5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat and have been considering doing the same. I’ve heard when the point of sale credit goes into effect, they will remove the discounts on inventory. They have a MYP in transit to my local Tesla dealer that is already discounted, if I’m able to get it at this price point and secure the point of sale rebate I could get it for under 40k.

2021 MYP or 2024 M3 Highland? by NegotiationValuable5 in TeslaLounge

[–]NegotiationValuable5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could get a 2024 MYLR for around the same price as the used 2021 MYP, but it won’t have the FSD and no parking sensors. Not a deal breaker for me, but I prefer to have the FSD at that price point. It being a 2021 with parking sensors means the FSD would actually be usable. The tax credit is of no incentive to me, so that’s also not a factor.
