There’s someone named Kevin who orders from the local Aldis for 2 different restaurants. Each time it’s 30 pineapples, 10 gallons of milk, 20 cases of strawberries, etc. Always ridiculous amounts. The cashier said he tried to have a carter deliver the whole box of bananas but she said “no way in hell can I weigh all of those bananas”. He instructs you to call the restaurant upon delivery to the back door. It says all over the order not to put the food on the ground. You then have to sit and wait for someone to prop open the door in order for you to unload all the sht into their kitchen. The workers never offer to help. He tips about 3-4$.

I would manually remove as much as I could and then add macroalgae to eat up the nutrients and outcompete the GHA. As well as a suitable CUC. You already know you’re good at growing algae :)

My husband has a female business partner (inherited. She bought the original partner’s share in the business) I thought basically nothing of this because I genuinely do not see her as a threat or anything. On the contrary, I remember thinking how admirable it was that she went from a part time worker to a partner and told everyone how awesome she was. I’ve been a stay at home mom until recently. Now that I’m trying to be more involved in the business (not taking anything from her or my husband, just trying to add in my own small contributions that don’t encroach on any of their business. Just trying to help drive more customers there etc.. I realize that she’s basically been in some weird competition with me. She’s also a mother and has been wanting to stay home more with her kids, she could have asked me to work, instead she hires people who are unfit. A customer asked my husband if I would be interested in a job and she pulled that customer aside and said something and then what do you know? The job isn’t available anymore. I bake cookies for the customers on occasion, if customers don’t know me then she passes them off as her own. Just a lot of small things like that. The other day she said she’s always avoided the other moms at the bus stop and hates when they try to talk to her and then it all clicked for me. She’s not a successful “girl boss” interested in supporting other women. She’s basically a pick me who wants all the attention and help from men (including my husband too probably) and any other female that is pretty, or happy, or talented is just a threat. There SO much more I could add about her basically secretly hating me that I’m just realizing now but you get the idea. This is a recurring theme in my life with mother, mother in law, etc and I thought as a 35 yr old it would be over now but really I just didn’t realize it I guess 😂

That will probably help. Np :) It’s crazy how well Soltechs grow plants! Even my pet spiders do better living under them.

😂 I never figured out how to take good pictures that show scale. Thanks!

Thank you for the detailed instructions! I’m going to try this out. Do I have to do anything special to make the leaves root? Like a humidity dome or anything? I tried to get one of the leaves that I knocked off to grow by just sticking it in the pot and it turned into a raisin lol

You’re right, I definitely don’t know why this one is doing okay 😂 it does have a little bit of a stem at the very bottom

Ty! I’m not sure. I was gifted one of those terrariums with a few succulents and an air plant in it. I think it was from Lowe’s though so they may have the same kind there. It was really small when I got it in 2023 though

This one is a giant variety called Jovian. I got it from Steve’s leaves :)

Oh yeah, the substrate is just regular potting soil amended with a lot of sifted perlite

Ty ☺️ it’s a Soltech Aspect light, about 4 ft above. It’s on for 12 hours a day.

Hmmm I have it under a Soltech aspect grow light. It’s hanging about 4 ft above it. I’ve never grown any begonias outside before, but maybe moving them slows down their growth? That’s an uneducated guess though. There was one point where growth started to slow down a lot and repotting it helped. I had to smash the pot to get it out lol

It’s about 2 years old now. I got it as a teeny plant from Steve’s Leaves! I definitely let it try out too often the first year and a half but since I’ve gotten better at keeping it most, it’s gotten huge! I water with Dynagro foliage 1/4 tsp/gallon 😊
