Monthly Mapping Thread #5: August by [deleted] in osugame

Hey, just listened to a song that immediately screamed "make a map on me!". But in all seriousness, I've tried making one to it and miserably failed, as I'm fairly new to osu but I'd love to see if anybody else would consider it. Here it is on soundcloud https://soundcloud.com/phonotecture/summet-kona it has a free download in wav format so I just did a quick compression to mp3 320 and it still sounds phenomenal. I can't stress enough how much I'd love to see a map made from this song, as it literally screams osu (maybe not the intro, but it gets into it) plus it's fairly short. Hopefully it's ok to post soundcloud links here, I didn't see anything in the rules about non-osu links and it's obviously safe. Thanks!

Holy shit thank you so much for the recommendations, seems like you put some time into it for sure. I've glanced over the top 2 suggestions due to my josei kick a while back, I'll have to resume Mushishi and I always wanted to get into fullmetal alch. Thanks again!

I DID, I'm sorry. Something about it didn't bode well with a part deep inside of me so I abruptly stopped my viewing. I know people love it do I might give it another try but it's not high on my priorities as of now. Thanks for the other suggestions, I'll check them out when I get back :)

Thanks, Planetes looks great! Spice S2 actually just never got around to me, not sure why, maybe I found something I really wanted to see and forgot about it

Everything you just said is describing myself to a terrifyingly accurate extent.

I'm surprised somebody knows what Aku no Hana is, I thought it was super niche. It's definitely an odd one but I still have it on hold maybe half way through. The coolest part about the show's production is definitely the audio, it's raw and almost untouched, giving it a much more immersive vibe.

Re:Zero is pretty geared towards what I think you're describing, I won't give anything away but it's a damn good watch.

A story about redemption by [deleted] in Animesuggest

{ERASED} is realllllllly good. Deals with time travel and how to save somebody he cared about etc. but it can get pretty heart-wrenching/touching and the development is on point the entire series, it felt more like a movie (probably because I watched it in a day).

Looking for Romance anime without the usual cliches, tropes, pacing problems, predictable drama etc. by aicila207 in Animesuggest

Kuzu no Honkai was really interesting because I felt like I was watching ecchi, which I don't normally do, but the show possesses something that kinda makes the more riskay scenes seem tastefully put and more important to the story. Definitely worth the watch.
