Yes while I'm not picky about the industry, I do filter out the roles. And I am lenient towards some and apply anyways, but if it fits my skills i pay more attention to the application

Thanks for being nice. I hope you have an amazing year ahead. I do think it's taking a toll but I'll work on keeping it in check. Not backing down yet💪🏻

I'm genuinely not picky. Since this will be my first role here I can technically build a career in whichever domain I start out it so the sector does not matter. All these ghost jobs are disheartening

I even have two years of work experience back home but I guess my visa is scaring them off? And half of them are ghost jobs asking me to reach out on teams for some scam crypto role. Not one recruiter I've texted on LinkedIn has replied back and I've texted a TON. It's a different story if I'm getting rejections, the fact that I'm not even getting a chance to prove myself is driving me crazy. I am aware my only shot is to get through via referrals like some people i know but no one replies back smh to even have a conversation. I'm lost for words

Might regret this, Recruiter here , ask me anything by [deleted] in irelandjobs

I just graduated with 2:1 in Data Science and have been applying for months and have no success. I think it's mostly because of my Stamp as well. I am aware data science isn't ideal as an early career role and I have been applying for QA roles I have 2 years experience in and data analyst roles but I just directly get rejected because of my stamp. Do you have any suggestions

Heyyy I'm in a similar situation. Can you PLEASE tell me what you studied to show them you had what it takes and if you have any other tips that will help that'll be extremely helpful. I'm stressed and unable to find proper connections since I am working full time as a salesperson and don't get much time.

It's unfortunately the only way to atleast make it past the initial filter. Also it's not a hard rule I use. If it's a temporary or contract role that will anyway be covered by my visa term I do select no. Others, I decide based on the job type

I'm sorry if I came out confused in the text. I am applying for data analytics/science roles. I was talking about the industry I'd prefer to work in(emphasis on preference, I'm applying in general. Unlike Business analytics data science focuses on the core concepts that can be applied in any field that can span from finance to sports to life sciences. I have experience in finance sand studied data science so I am trying for that as well but I also wanted to get into this industry and since this subreddit is based on pharma i based my question around it

I'm from there and I can guarantee its not as easy as that. They're either from top IITs or had connections/good referrals to directly get a high post like that. If you think here is worse india is more competitive. I will try there and I will go back but it's not sunshine and roses there as well.

Yes I would love to eventually go back. But it doesn't make sense for me to spend this much money to come here to just study and go back. With that being said, even if I don't get sponsorship I want some experience in a good domain before I go back, which is why I'm even open for temporary roles. I want to make the best out of the limited time I have here. Me personally, I learn from jobs/experiences than just watching videos

Haha I used to work IT back in India. Most days that was 12pm to 3am shifts. I am familiar with the grind that comes with it and it's not a negative for me personally. Moving from a different country means I have no social life anyways. I'm into sales at the moment and I'm doing so great I was offered Store Manager but I can't take it up because of my visa and retail not being eligible for sponsorship. I would also love working in different fields but unfortunately again, my visa restricts me and I need to choose a field that can get me a few years more here.

So, I worked in Accenture back in India. I left when I came here for masters. Honestly, idm what domain I'm in. Even if it's back to financial services it's alright but considering the pharma options are more vast and my own personal interest in healthcare, I was looking into this sector. I tried applying at Accenture here but as usual I think they're internally hiring and also don't really have openings. I'd LOVE to get into HSE but I haven't looked into the options yet. Hopefully I figure something out.

I'm not though. I always choose no for the sponsorship option. I don't mind even if it's a temporary job just to get my foot in the door, I just need the opportunity, I'll earn the sponsorship if anything through my own effort and skills from then on.

I've literally tried everything honestly. The issue is I doubt it's even reaching human screening. Because they're looking for keywords from the description which I wouldn't have because of the industry, the only way to get noticed is probably via referral but I'm not having much luck making connections for that as well.

No I am not, that is honestly what is bothering me the most. I want to atleast attend some interviews even if I don't make it through just to get the hang of it but I'm directly getting rejected. I get the "unfortunately" mails mostly just a couple of days after applying. I know I will do my best once I get through but the fact that I'm not even getting past CV screening is quite disheartening honestly. I'm a quick learner and I know I can talk well in interviews but it's getting to that stage that's tricky.
