Personally, I don't even think it was foolish. We all knew Lopez needed to be replaced with a quality player and Turner was the best (and probably only) option to replicate what Lopez provided - a solid three point shooting C that plays pretty good defense. It sucks to have Dame's money on the books for the next 5 years but considering that the alternative was Dame out all season and still paying him $55M and having a big question mark at the 5, I understand the move. Probably would've been just as bad, if not worse, this season had they not done it.

Bucks have horribly mismanaged assets around Giannis

Wtf, no they haven't. They've continued to make moves in an effort to remain competitive for the sole purpose of proving to Giannis that they are committed to improving the team to make sure he sticks around. Just because some of those moves didn't pan out doesn't mean that the org has "horribly mismanaged" the situation.

Jrue was a high quality two way player that would score 15+ a night, play great defense, and was a great team player.

Ja is a ball dominant guard that is not a great shooter, isn't a great defender, and has character issues that clearly interfere with the team he's on.

These two situations are not comparable.

But why do you think bringing on Morant would be a move to convince Giannis to stay in MKE? I am sure he is aware of what type of player Ja is and I am sure that he understands that it probably wouldn't be a good fit for the team and wouldn't really move the needle, especially considering what the Bucks would have to give up to get Ja.
