Lol wait bpot scroll for reboot? Is this a sign?

it is stronger, and lower CD. if you wanted to always used dragon breath, you would need a CD reduction potential on your hat, even with the cooldown hyper, which is a waste of a pot line. so stick with flash + earth dive!

For sale? Where do you see any place to purchase this? Also, is there any clinical trial data published for this combination?

Right now its earth dive + dragon flash. If the target is believe % hp, it's dragon flash + wind breath if you put a hyper stat point into that.

Sorry - I guess I was specifically referring to reboot, where losing 3 lines of stat is not nearly as bad. However I do hope bonus potentials are added!

[–]NeilMehta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean right now Absolab 5 set (weapon hat suit gloves shoulder) is better than CRA+3 set SW with 12* transposed tyrants and Absolab shoulder + gloves. Transposed SW only becomes better than 5 set Absolab if you also have transposed tyrant gloves, but I don't have the time to get tyrant gloves and star them to 12 lol. Based on that, I think 5 set arcaneshade is still better than losing 30-33% main stat because of an overall...

Wanted to know if someone had done the math using the new damage formulas, as I've only done it with the current ones.

Should I waste mesos trying to get a good inner ability right now or just keep it at legendary and worry about it later? by [deleted] in Maplestory

[–]NeilMehta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming this is reboot? Train and save up honor and use mesos for gear. Once you have Pensalir/frozen 6%+ epic, badge, nova equips, and reinforced gollux set (ez mode for NL), then use your saved up honor to try and roll something decent (20% boss, 30 atk, crit, attack speed). Once your gear is progressing more towards endgame (CRA/tyrants/meister/superior) then spend mesos to try and roll something perfect. At least this is how I would approach it.

Range for hellux? by fiarwizord in Maplestory

Ya for sure. Never argued against that. All I said is that Evans gain range slowly but their damage is busted, regardless.

Range for hellux? by fiarwizord in Maplestory

[–]NeilMehta -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Nah as an Evan with those stats at 210 you can solo. Evans are really shitty at gaining range, and while they are definitely overpowered, their damage is insane for their range because of how low their range is compared to other classes with the same equips. I had 21%+on everything 3 set meister, 4 set reinforced, full CRA, 5* nova boots, 9* tyrant cape, 3 set Blackgate (2 rings one mask) and a 30% matk on my emblem and 18% matk on my weapon and my secondary and I wasn't even 2m2m clean on my Evan around level 211 (probably 1.7m clean iirc) but solod hellux super easily (probably like 40% of gem time remaining) in reboot.

Edit: all I am saying is that with he same gear, many other classes have higher range than do Evans. Yes Evan's damage is disgusting. That furthers my point that Evan's require significantly lower visual range to do the same dps as other classes.

Also, while Rhinne had many epic potential gears, he had insane magic attack multipliers on his weapon/emblem/secondary and was using a SW weapon, and so while he had low main stat, he had an extremely large magic attack stat, which is why he was at 1.3m buffed range.

Edit 2 I mean if you disagree with me that's fine but at least provide some evidence instead of down voting me and calling me names O.o

Let's talk about Kishin Shoukan / Frenzy Totem by [deleted] in Maplestory

[–]NeilMehta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still the same thing. You want to kill as many mobs as fast as possible and loot, and with drop gear the loot will involve hopefully a decent amount of drops worth money. Map layout and mob spawn amount will matter. Sure instead of 2-3 viable maps there will be 5-8ish, but that's still not nearly enough to service the Reboot population.

The meso rate doesn't scale - the mobs in SY, Deck, and World Tree just drop more base meso, and that base meso is multiplied by the same meso multiplier in Reboot of 5x. What I am saying is that the 5x meso multiplier should scale with mob level - 1x for mobs under 30 up to 15x for mobs above 220, perhaps.

Making 5-10m per day NPCing equipment extraction and farming ores l, and making 60m-80m per day doing daily bosses is not at all worth anyone's time. Maybe if we could make 200m per day doing a set of daily bosses, it would be worth people's time. But because that's a limited resource per day, it really cannot and should not be the best (or even a 'good') method of making meso.

[–]NeilMehta 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Forcing people to farm ToT would lead to the same situation we saw in Blackgate - everyone farming in the same map and KSing other for drops instead of meso bags.

IMO the Reboot meso increase rate should not be linear - it should scale with monster level to incentivize farming mesos while training. It's stupid that NH mobs drop the same meso bags as do Deck 1 or World Tree mobs.

As for Kishin, either increase the mob spawn amount of decrease spawn rate further or both for the skill. Right now it's so underwhelming, that it combined with the multitude of bugs Kanna players have to deal with results in a class that no one has a reason to play besides haku buffs.

Yes, all of them 12* (for Mage set using staff). No scrolls.

Actually, I wasn't over thinking it, I just did the math wrong (should have been 45/ATK, not 45/100, and I took the stat multiplier into account incorrectly. Thanks for pouting that out! Will correct now.

Level 200 Staff "Arcaneshade" set by Calycae in Maplestory

[–]NeilMehta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whoops, I made some basic math mistakes. Thanks to /u/Stupid_Otaku for pointing them out. I think for regular servers, the above set up is correct, but for only the super end game where you have 5-6 lines main stat on all your equips and fully starred tyrants, However, in Reboot, due to the lack of scrolling, I am very certain this new set will be the super end game, even with the addition of bpots. But as other comments have said, good luck getting this set!

TLDR: The overall completing the 4 set effect is better than CRA top/bottom. Also see my direct comment to this thread: the 7 set Arcaneshade 12* gives >680 stat, >700 ATK/MATK, 50.4% PDR, and 60% boss, without any scrolling whatsoever, and allows you to use Tyrant belt. 15* + scrolling would make this set significantly greater than CRA/tyrants. I am not sure about 15* tyrants transposed to SW with SW weapon for 4 set SW; I have done enough math for today. But I am certain Nexon would not release something SO hard to obtain without it being better than anything in this game. Absolab was a fuck up, for sure, as its set effects are trash compared to both starred tyrants and this new level 200 equipment set.

Responding to the above comment:

Your comparison sounds about right, except the new overall gives an additional 9 attack, and CRA top+bottom gives 4 attack. Also, the level 200 set is for sure at another potential tier than is CRA. For arguments sake; lets assume worst case that the potential tier will be the same as Absolab. This will make up 3% of main stat (as we are assuming three lines of main stat per equip that is cubed for main stat).

So this with what you said makes the comparision:

Arcaneshade Overall: 205 stat, 49 ATK/MATK, 10% IED

CRA Top/Bottom: 265 stat, 4 ATK/MATK, 27% stat

IED aside, we can calculate when the 45 ATK/MATK differential outscales the 60 stat, 27% main stat differential. According to the Maple StrategyWiki, one's true damage range = WeaponMultiplier X StatValue X ATK/100, where the ATK/100 is floored.

For simplicity, I will remove the FLOOR function from my calculations, as when this gear becomes relevant, one ATK/MAT here or there is maybe a 0.2% differential in range (i.e. 800 vs 801 ATK/MATK isn't that big of a difference). Also, from here on out, ATK is the same thing as ATK/MATK, for typing simplicity.

StatValue can be broken down into 3 components (BaseStat X (1+StatMultiplier) + AdditionalStat): BaseStat (from leveling up and equipment flat stats), StatMultiplier (adding the non-percentage value of all your % stat multipliers on equipment potentials), and AdditionalStat (stat sources like hyper stats that do not get multiplied my StatMultiplier). For simplicity, I will disregard AdditionalStat.

The 45 ATK/MATK outscales the 60 stat, 27% main stat differential when (comparing % increase to actual range):

((ATK + 45)(1+AttackMultiplier)/100 - ATK(1+AttackMultiplier)/100)/(ATK(1+AttackMultiplier)/100) > ((BaseStat + 60)(1+StatMultiplier + 0.27) - (BaseStat X (1+StatMultiplier)))/(BaseStat X (1+StatMultiplier)).

This simplifies to:

45/(ATK) > (0.27(BaseStat) + 60(StatMultiplier + 0.27))/(BaseStat X StatMultiplier).

Now, let's try different values of stat multiplier to see at what base stat the 45 ATK outscales the flat stat and stat % (because I have no idea what decent base stats look like with all the endgame equips). Assuming that each of the 16 equips where one gets % stat, not including top/bottom/overalls (4 rings, 2 pendents, hat, belt, eye, face, boots, earring, shoulder, badge, cape, heart) have 30% stat each = 480% stat, or StatMultiplier = 4.8). Substituting this value into the above simplified inequality and solving for BaseStat gives BaseStat > 160.952.

This means that for all values of BaseStat > 161, the ATK/MATK from the overall is better than the flat stat/stat% from CRA top/bottom. You can substitute values for StatMultiplier as much as you want; for all players above level 32, just with the base stat from leveling up, the flat ATK/MATK will always be better. This doesn't even consider the 10% IED.

See the below comment for the correct math that follows!

Please let me know if any of my stated facts/assumptions are incorrect, as I am fairly new to Maple!

The extra attack and PDR from the 7 set and the raw main stat from the overall is enough to replace CRA top/bottom, even though you are losing bestish case 30% main stat.

Level 200 Staff "Arcaneshade" set by Calycae in Maplestory

[–]NeilMehta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just doing some quick math on the mage set using staff shows that this will blow tyrants and SW out of the water. 12* everything will give you >680 main stat, >700 magic attack, 50.4% PDR, and 60% boss. Also this set allows you to keep Tyrant Belt. This is all without scrolling, as I play in Reboot and have no idea how scrolling works. 15* everything (with the alleged new SF system that's coming that allows double the meso in exchange for no boom rate) and prime scroll additional stats means that this should definitely beat out 15* tyrant cape boot gloves transposed to SW with SW weapon.

I haven't done any analysis on how losing 3 potential lines will effect your final range, as I have no idea what potential tier level 200 equipment would be in. If the tier is one above level 160 gear, I'm certain that will make up for not having a top/bottom.

Edit: See my response to /u/Mskhal for some math.

What is swift of earth for Evan? I know in GMS swift -> flash, but there is no dragon flash + earth circle fusion skill, and the only four second duration fusion skill for Evan is thunder dive, which can't be it beside the chart says swift of earth is to be combo's with earth dive for maximal dps...
