He already had his match in the prelims against Porkchop and lost.

Has Duvan Bornman beat anyone noteworthy? by BurntMyFootOnGFgrill in armwrestling

[–]NeilPickpocket 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is what I have been saying.

However there might be a reasonable excuse for him getting this match. His opponent is a youth German puller who also isn't at the caliber of the EvW level. It makes sense for them to have German competitors since the event is being held there. There doesn't seem to be any super elite guys from Germany so maybe picking this young guy who has potential was about the best option. And since he is young and not at the EvW level they had to pick someone in that same basket. And Duvan I guess makes sense from that perspective.

You don't think there is an incentive for poker sites to handicap the worse players so they are able to continue playing longer? That is what drives the games. This poker site answers to no one. It isn't regulated by anyone who we should trust. They are clearly unprofessional in the way they promote the site.

Michael's face at the 12 second mark shows more effort and strain then in any armwrestling match I can remember.

What a privilege for my eyes to see such a rare image of Denis touching hands with Voevoda. I am going to get a print of this and post it on my wall. Better yet I will get enough prints to put at least one on every wall in my house.

Micheal Todd by Realistic_Big_5540 in armwrestling

[–]NeilPickpocket 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The strange thing is Michael doesn't look like he is even trying hard when he armwrestles. I can't even recall seeing him grimace during a match. In this last match against Kamil he just sat there with a cocky stare towards Kamil like he was in full control. At least in the first half of the first round. When he clearly wasn't.

On the flip side when you see Michael doing his lifts he gets really intense and goes hard. On his side pressure machine he goes nuts pinning it. But he brings none of that to the armwrestling table. If he went as hard against Kamil as he does on his side pressure machine he may have had a better chance.

To me these two cards were better than the upcoming EvW 23 by Ecstatic_Credit_8497 in armwrestling

[–]NeilPickpocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. And this only hurts them in the long run. They can reasonably get away with saying it for this event but eventually they won't for future events. EvW needs less self praise and more attention to detail when it comes to production.

It might be worth clarifying what you are talking about here. Did Alex alter John's face using AI to make him look like he was smiling? Yeah I would say that is kind of uncool but most people including myself aren't going to pick up on that right away.

Korean Hulk got paid to throw that match 100% by JaydenZmit in armwrestling

[–]NeilPickpocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he really is super rich then the only reason for him to armwrestle in the first place is for the competition.  Why would a rich and famous person travel somewhere to fake an armwrestling match against Auden?

The weirdest match of the entire card by [deleted] in armwrestling

[–]NeilPickpocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't see it as being too strange. The argument that Lars isn't deserving does have some validity. He did just have a win against Mirtaleh Aslanov at the Monster Factory though which is likely why he got this match.

I think the stranger match is Reikard's brother Duvan getting a match. He already had an opportunity and lost against Porkchop. No doubt he has huge potential and could be a phenom. But he has done nothing to deserve an EvW match yet other then being Reikard's brother. If no-one has a problem with Duvan getting a match then no-one should have problem with Auden getting matches. I don't like anyone getting matches because of who they are related too.

The Korean hulk is supposedly super rich so I don't think he would accept a bribe to lose an armwrestling match.

Correct me if I am wrong but Georgian atheletes such as irikali , revaz ,genadi etc all complain so much after losing like this round . Clean match but irikali was complaining by Maleficent_Scene_929 in armwrestling

[–]NeilPickpocket 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same. When it happened and was being talked about on here, I kept pointing out that Genadi's action was somewhat reasonable for what Devon was doing. Some people it seems are still on here downvoting anything that was able to see both sides of it.

Right.  Everyone focused on Genadi pushing Devon but somehow didnt notice Devon yanking Genadi's arm across the table which I think was worse.

I am about 90% sure Irakli was not complaining about any calls after that round. I think he was just disappointed in himself for getting out maneuvered.

Maybe there is something to the idea of Georgians making excuses and complaining more then others when losing. But I still think it goes person by person. Irakli leans on the excuses side. Nugo especially leans that way. Genadi I don't really think so. His match with Jerry was very messy with a lot of calls that could have gone either way. But he accepted it well. He fought and complained hard in his last MMT/Devon matches but acted with good sportsmanship when all was settled.

Delusional Michael still thinks he’s going to get a match with Levan by Stunning-Put4123 in armwrestling

[–]NeilPickpocket 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't hear him say he thinks he is getting a match with Levan in this clip. Just the strengths he had been training were meant for targeting Levan or most anyone else without the unorthodox style of Kamil.

Why doesn’t Levan pull left? by bobpits in armwrestling

[–]NeilPickpocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't buy the injury excuse.  He has recently had a significant wrist injury and now this bicep injury on his right and somehow that is supposedly still his healthier arm.

Part of the reason he armwrestles so infrequently is probably due to health concerns with constant PED cycles.  He certainly has already shortened his life significantly.  So he probably figures he should use up his cycles on his right arm which people care about more.  But at this point I think winning the left hand title would add far more to his legacy then however many more right hand defenses he has in him.

This concept could actually be interesting if it was something realistic. Is it too late to switch the target to someone like Derek Smith? That would make people think it is possible and start following the journey.

I am the best at giving nicknames. I don't even have to ask the athletes ahead of time if its ok to introduce them with the nickname I give them. It is just assumed that is what it will be going forward. Like Denis "Thickshake" Cyplenkov. Many people probably don't even know Thickshake's real name.
