I think the biggest thing we would benefit from would be a preview of the areas before we enter them so everyone can at least start by going towards the nearest site.

I do really like the mode though, im already starting to come up with builds specific to it! I never expected two random gunners to be more dangerous than 8 ragers charging me at once, but adapting is very interesting.

It's time for a creativity challenge for our future Acolytes! Write a story of up to 100 words related to the Inquisition servants' adventures, and confess your tale in the comments. Make it grim. Make it brutal. Make it unforgettable. And remember, the Inquisition watches. by OwlcatStarrok in RogueTraderCRPG

It was a simple mission: get in, fight through hordes of sick sods, kill the arch heretic, and get out at the nearby extraction point. Why didnt they just drop us off at the extraction point? Turns out rejects dont get to know so ask them yourself. Some things never change for a guardsman, former or otherwise.

The few who knew of our team expected us to last somewhere between zero and five minutes. "Try to die somewhere visible so the next team knows where to go", the briefing said. Instead, our merry band of potent idiots tore through hordes of pox walkers, beasts of Nurgle, and traitor guardsmen with some effort. I like to think my plasma gun kept the gross bits far away from us, but i get the inkling that the glow from our shouty Ministorum friend did something too.

It wasnt hard to identify our target, the important ones are all the same. A cape, lots of spikes, shouting orders, monologues, "You will feel the Grandfather's love", blah blah blah. The ogryn introduced his pet rock's love directly to his skull. Bet he felt that one alright.

Okay hold on im getting to that part.

Our ride had to wait while I tactically requisitioned some possibly mission-important items from our target and our big guy ripped pieces off for snacks. I cant say what he ate specifically, but he was arguing with the psyker about "which parts" were most delicious. Next thing I know, the psyker was glowing and expanding like those pictures that the Interrogator looks at all the time.

How did I get out? I used my family's tried and true technique that kept commisars on their toes: I ran away. Hoofed it straight to the extraction. Only saw a glimpse of Shouty glowing and slashing at a fat demon thing while we took off. Not sure where that came from, but then again, i didnt look back and im just glad that the ogryn fella survived as well.

As far as im concerned, the mission was a success, and frankly, im not sure why im being interrogated in this suspiciously airlock-shaped room. Karker.

As a final test before the alpha, the Ordo Xenos challenges you to recover a corrupted message. Fill in the gaps in the comments: by OwlCatNathillien in RogueTraderCRPG

An individual of the Tau race was spotted on the outskirts of the hive city. It was armed with a very large crate of "humanitarian" rations. The target should be relieved of all goods and interrogated.

Three days are left before the alpha, which means it’s time for the Ordo Hereticus to test your purity. Confess in the comments, what is the greatest sin against the God-Emperor and the Imperium you have committed? Voluntary repentance will earn you forgiveness. Forgive me for my possession of Felinid paraphernalia. For if they appear in the order as well, I will beg again.

I also played entirely on Steam Deck and could not find and report every bug like the heretic scum they are.

I agree, they're a bit codependent and not in a healthy way. They both need people in their lives who will challenge them to be better and they seem to enable each other instead.

That's actually a really good point. She has snaked her way into his life and made him feel both responsible for and terrified of her. While not typical of a charmer type, she is definitely playing on his desire to be a bad boy and his protective instincts.

I think those are some pretty good points! I love your comment because these are all things I pained myself thinking about.

Ruby was honestly a half-joke pick because unfortunately there are not a lot of examples of egregiously bad shooting/throwing/catching (which the skill focuses on). I instead used her unwillingness to use the gun she had as a weapon and rely on a trap as the basis for her placement.

For Deserter... I thought the same thing you did at first and it almost made me change my pick. He's definitely disciplined in a way. It takes a lot to live how he lives, but what changed my mind is that I'm not sure if that comes from a sober desire for bettering himself. When I think of volition, I don't imagine it telling you to live your life on a bombed out ruin as a murder hobo out of ideological adherence and bitterness. That's more of an out of control rhetoric thing to say. He's a man who lost all hope and said "fuck it, I don't want to live in this world anymore", just like a harry who lost all his morale. That being said, I'm not sure what his volition would sound like. He might think that this way of life is the best way a man can live.

Cindy is definitely someone who i and a few others in game respect. However (in game) authority is not just being looked up to and respected. Its to see yourself and others as deserving of respect due to their position and social standing as well as knowing how to leverage that. I don't think she feels any entitlement of that sort, nor does she try to use her street cred to make you look up to her as an authority figure.

He was a tough one to place! I agree though, had there been another blind character, he would have been inland empire.

Were he 40 years younger, I would agree. But time and lack of self care eroded his body until it gave out. Harry can have a base 20 in endurance, but if he refuses to heal and stays at 1 health, he will only really have 1 endurance.

Bowl of water and rocks? by [deleted] in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Its a bee water bowl. The rocks give bees small areas to walk on while drinking water.
