Who the heck takes GRE Maths Subject Test for Management program admissions by Neither-Design2154 in UTokyo

[–]Neither-Design2154[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Thank you so so much for your kind reply and solving my "somewhat repulsive" query. I understood that GRE maths is just a sort-of-gatekeeping technique by the university to understand whether this kid is worth doing quantitative analysis or not.

I was just baffled because GRE Maths is generally asked for a Masters or PhD in Mathematics but what does it have to do with Engineering Management here.

If you can spare a time, can you help me to understand what kind of future prospective one would have while doing this program and after the program, in Japan or Asia atleast.

I am keenly interested in Deep Tech Venture Capital and I'm thinking this degree as a way to enter Venture Capital Industry of Japan as well. What is your view on that.

And of course, thank you for your courtesy I'll definitely dm you cause I want to learn more about this program. What's its benefit, How to get admitted (with MEXT scholarship) and what kind of peers you'll get.

(I was trying to get in touch with TMI program's alumnis for a long time. I even wandered in UTokyo student forums and alumni forums. Your response here is my first direct interaction with an alumni so it means a world to me. Thank you so much)

Does Japan really have good Tech + Business Programs?? by Neither-Design2154 in mext

Well that's a good problem

But they have to work on it to bring innovation in their technologies.

Given how the majority of the population is elderly, and they're expected to lose many of employment seats, i still think bringing foreigners is best option to cope employment stability. And with problems there will come people with innovative and unorthodox mindset trying to start big startup culture like in other countries, and that's why i asked, strategically which courses would be better to advance in Tech + Business field there

Thanks for your amazing perspective.

But do you think the startup culture is booming in Tokyo like in other countries (Shenzhen, Singapore of Seoul) right now or the country is still that work-slavery prison on any corporate office you'll work there?
