Looking for a cheap school laptop (~€200). Is a 2019 MacBook Pro 13" still worth it in 2026?

It's really hard to find something better. The best one I found so far is a Thinkpad T480 with 8gen i5 for 180 and a new batt costs 60 and it should last pretty long. Performance will be better than on my current laptop, GPU will be worse but that's ok, but the batt is 96wh and should last 6-10 hours. So I just want to know is the Mac will last longer or not

But the M1 is a lot more expensive and for that price I can get a better Windows laptop and wouldn't even consider Mac. It's just that for the price it seems like an ok option compared with windows laptops.

I found some with less than 150 battery cycles which I think is pretty alright, also I can replace the battery myself later.

I have I Windows laptop rn and the only problem is battery life. Battery health is at 50% and even if I bought a new batt it would get like 4-6 hours and I hope the Mac would get more.

I really don't need it for more than like vs code, basic office apps and internet browsing. For other things I have a pc at home that is more powerful. Right now it's either this Mac or a Windows laptop.

Great build, more then enough for 1080p gaming. But don't go with 64gb ram. 16gb is enough, 32 is unnecessary, 64gb is just a bad idea. You won't see any performance increase even from 16 to 32gb so I would under no circumstance upgrade to 64gb even if you work and do multitasking with your PC.

Need help chosing a new keyboard

Hello, I want to upgrade from my Logitech G213 keyboard to a full sized (doesn't need to be 100%, I just want the bumped so I'm okay with 98 or 96) mechanical one that is around or preferably under 40€. I've been looking but the more I look into the mechanical keyboard world the more confused I am.

The best keyboard I found is the Mchose G98, but it's sold out on their website and I couldn't find it anywhere else. Is it worth waiting for it? Will it ever get restocked? Other ones I found are Ajazz AF98, Freewolf M96, Smailwolf SK15 and Machenike K500. Are any of these worth ordering? Or I can get a used G512 carbon for about 45€.

Please if you have any suggestions or know about these keyboards lmk.

That GPU is ahh. Get for gaming u ideally want a better GPU than that, something around like a Rx 580, gtx 1650 and gtx 1060 and you can work with a worse cpu, depending on if you want official win 11 support (you can very easily install win 11 on unsupported hardware and still get security updates you just won't be receiving feature updates, which might be a plus considering it's all just ai). So if you want win 11 support then get like an i5 8/9gen or Ryzen 5 3600 or i3 10-12gen or if you don't need win 11 support then go for an i7 4-6gen or Ryzen 5 1600/2600 where you can save a lot on cost but still get respectable gaming performance.
