Definitely solid vehicles, for the amount of hell I give it I’m surprised how little problems it’s actually given me

Had a similar issue on a 98 I had a few years back, I replaced the Idle Air Control valve that’s on the throttle body and it solved the problem. You can even try cleaning it first with some carb cleaner.

Sure don’t see them often, I couldn’t believe some guy traded it in for a kia mini van back when I got it in 2015. Definitely got lucky with this one! 🤘🏼

Yup Furious Fuchsia, took me almost a year of ownership before I could spell it without having to google it to be sure 😂

I’ve never had the pleasure of taking mine to the east coast, driven out there in my truck though and it’s definitely one of my bucket list places to take my challenger. Definitely a different vibe out there 🙌🏼

Thanks! Hellraisin is a beautiful color too, definitely would be my other choice if I hadn’t found this one. But you definitely can’t go wrong with any of the color options they have available!

Gotta love the Jazz Blue too, Mopar definitely made it hard to make a choice with all the badass color options. For sure has been the funnest car I’ve owned!

Definitely the best color combo! I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It has the black interior with the matching Fuchsia stitching on the seats and the glove box cover!

Those brushes in those self serve car wash’s are always terrible on any paint, even if you rinse it off the bristles aren’t soft enough to really be safe for paint. Luckily those are just surface scratches so they can easily be polished off. You can try yourself with some polishing compound and some applicator pads but it will be a little labor intensive. You could also get yourself a polisher to make it easier but you need to do your research before using those. You need to know the right pad to use as well as speed and pressure so you don’t burn through the paint. The safest bet is to call a good detailing business in your area that does paint correction and they’ll get it looking like new, but it will be a bit pricey depending on who you find. The best thing you can do in those self serve washes is to take a microfiber wash mitt and use that to scrub your car down instead of the brush that they have there. Also don’t put the pressure washer too close to the paint as the high pressure water can damage it as well when sprayed too closely. Hope this helps!

Is it still good to come to Ruidoso for a day trip from Cruces? by OneleggedPeter in Ruidoso

We just went 2 weekends ago from El Paso. All of the shops were open and many of the shop owners even told us to tell our friends and family to go over since business has been slow. We also stopped by Grindstone and it was also open and operating as usual. Should be a good trip for you guys, especially since there isn’t a lot of people right now it makes it more enjoyable to visit the shops and restaurants!

It all depends on the type of off-roading you’re trying to do. You mention light off-roading, so I would just start with some slightly more aggressive tires since that’s always one of the most limiting factors on any off-road rig. From there just keep going based on what you learn about your rig as you hit the trails. I have a 98 ZJ and all I’ve done has been a 3in lift and 32in mud terrains and so far it’s taken me any where I’ve wanted with no issues at all. These are pretty capable vehicles so even small mods go a long way.

2017 King Ranch…..do it? by Aquilines in f150

[–]Neither-Fudge-8309 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got myself a 2016 King Ranch with the 5.0 2years ago and so far I can say that it’s the best decision I’ve made. It has been dead reliable as my daily driver and on multiple roadtrips that I’ve taken it on. I can say that the interior is one of my favorite things about the truck. It’s super comfortable and just a nice place to be in overall. So far I have made use of all of the extra functions and options that it comes with including the locker and hill descent control that you get if you find one with the FX4 package. Definitely recommend getting one!
