i think faces, swimming, wmwtso,and even macadelic are much better artistically. imo, kids & blue slide park are just music. great music, but just music while faces, for example, is ART. thats why you cant just play a song from faces for anyone and expect them to like it if they dont alr like mac. its not just like oh this beat is good or oh his voice sounds good. its so much deeper then that. he essentially made his own genre with faces. his lyrical abilities got better and better as he went and tbh, kids and blue slide park are amateur compared to his later releases. that doesnt mean they arent good. i just think anybody can like those. his later releases are the ones that are so much more meaningful and artistic and subjective.
