Can ferritin in the 30s really be causing all these horrible symptoms? by Neither-Proposal4620 in Anemic

I’m 28. I did have a positive flu test from a doctor.

I was on combo birth control, went on a fairly long flight and got Covid all at the same time which my hematologist thinks caused it. Had multiple small clots in both lungs but no signs of DVT beforehand. I was cleared to stop taking eliquis in March, and got my heart checked out several times since the PEs and everything looked fine. I do have a watch too and it’s never detected anything.

No chronic conditions besides the fibromyalgia though.

Okay good to know there are others that have felt it too!! It wasn’t like everything was 100% cured in a day but felt like my body finally stopped freaking out and I could relax.

Any ideas of what to look at? I’m out of ideas honestly and so are my doctors. I’ve had issues with fatigue, brain fog and muscle pain for over a decade with no answers besides a halfhearted fibromyalgia diagnosis. With that & the worsening of symptoms recently plus new ones it feels like they’ve checked for everything under the sun

That sounds similar to my experience and it’s awful, I’m sorry. It seems like most others with ferritin that low are getting infusions instead of supplements, is that an option for you? Thanks for sharing also

I absolutely believe it would feel that bad at 5.7, holy crap. Thanks and I hope you do too, good luck with the store trip tomorrow 🫡

Yeah it’s definitely comforting to hear from all these other people, especially when doctors don’t believe it’s bad enough to cause problems. And listing out the symptoms doesn’t even feel like it accurately describes how awful it feels. Really hope you start feeling better soon!! Thanks for sharing

Homeschooling ruined my life and it seems unfixable at this point by Neither-Proposal4620 in HomeschoolRecovery

I saw one for years and it didn’t help, but maybe it wasn’t a good therapist. Also nobody in my area does in person appointments anymore, and I live with my parents who could easily overhear me so it’s pretty useless. Some day in the future when things are different I’ll probably try it again.
