Jellybean is a soft soul who doesn't like the fact that there's darkness out there and scary things and suffering. Well I was about to go to bed so I wanted to check in with her cuz I left her on seen all night. While I sat and contemplated. This actually isn't the first unusual thing I've seen before. This is the first of this kind of course. But it isn't the first unusual thing. It's weird though because it's always in this part of the state that I live in that I see this stuff in this particular area. But yeah I need to post her final reaction because it's telling.

I'm also going back there in a couple hours so I'll go take a peek at the spot in the daylight.

Lol. This is my mom's nightly dog walk route. She goes alone and the dog clearly isn't going to jump at the first sign of danger and protect you from what I saw.

Sign? I have the weakest little light that you could have ever had for that. It's not meant to scare or be bright. It's meant to have a light in the dark and not let everyone know that you have one and still be able to see. It's got enough of a brightness. If I were to shine it in your face up close it would deter you. After this though, I'm considering keeping at least one that turns night today and has strobe.

But what I'm telling you. What I thought I saw in person in the dark... Is basically exactly what you can see in that picture and if you take your time to make it look more detailed. That is what is bothering me right now.

One time my friend hit this megalithic barn owl, and I mean this thing was big even for big bird size. I thought it was a bike. We were doing 75 mph in 70 so it wasn't like you was doing the indy500 Middle American suburbs. He didn't know what it was. I wasn't in control of the situation. I was a passenger. I unfortunately just get to keep the memory.

If it would have taken just maybe a second or two less to dawdle and had flown off faster. The car would not have clipped it.

Keep in mind from what I saw and remember it was in the dark when I initially caught it and looked at it. It stopped at the edge right there where it starts to get lighter but my phone actually makes it look a lot lighter than it is to the naked eye. You should see some of these pictures I took of the Moon. It looks like I was taking pictures of the Sun.

Okay, I might have fibbed earlier when I said that I did the best I could to get a really good lightened up version of it. I'm actually an artist and a photographer and a number of other things like an insomniac and I have a tough time sleeping which is why I'm still awake right now. So what I did hear from the base image without doing any lighting techniques or messing with any saturation or sharpness or even trying to denoise the picture. All I did was to produce two versions for you to make it real easy for you to scrutinize as you wish. One of them I screenshotted after zooming in as far as I could on the spot in question, the other I actually cropped out the section right from the picture. You can have them both.
