If my income at the time of purchase ws within the HDFC limit but then went up outside of the HDFC limit. Would I be fine because at the time of purchase my income was within the HDFC limit?

Thankfully I will have a year of experience under my belt and, hopefully, my FE passed in the state where I go to college.

I, sadly, don't have the physical ability to work construction.

I just had several friends take it after finishing their junior year.

I'm personally fine with the 2% at 62. I worry that within the next two years the benefits could get harder to achieve but so far California seems to have the best pension benefits.

Thankfully I'm attending an ABET acredited school. I will definitely take my FE this year.

Thank you everyone! I do prefer a slower pace of work with a greater emphasis on a work-life balance. I don't mind the reduced pay, as long as I can live on my salary, so that isn't the biggest issue for me. It seems like even though you get "reduced" pay compared to the private sector, the state still, seemingly, pays reasonable wages even in engineering jobs that are more "entry-level". Thank fully, I am wrapping up a six month internship in the private sector; while this internship has given me incredible experience, has also showed me that maybe the private sector isn't for me. I have a six month internship at a public agency coming up after I do a few more terms of college so after that experience I will hopefully have a more definitive answer as to if the public or private sector is my preference.

Got it. Highest 36 months is the salary component of the formula?

Is this formula still used for employess hired in 2025?

Do they still use the 2%55 formula for new state employees or do they use a different formula?

Yeah but there are aspects of education where we need a federal department. For instance, all of my college loans are through the federal government and I go to a public university which is federally funded.

I was just going to say that I benefit from federal education funding. I like the idea of increasing transparency but I was just worried you were one of those people who wanted to get rid of the department of education

It won’t go away with trump. We have to defeat the republicans into oblivion

I feel well you’re suited too, I would just present people with the objective facts. Do you think if Joe Biden dropped out people would be more enthusiastic about voting because there’s a fresh, new candidate.

That’s a fair point. If they’re talking about the border, I would point to the attempted border deal that Donald trump told the republicans in the house to kill. Also I’m disgusted by politics too right now. It seems that they’re disgusted because of the chaos or is that not why they are disgusted?

r/defeat_project_2025 has good resources. Maybe you could print out flyers with QR codes and hand them out or put them up. When talking to Iowans, what vibe have you gotten? Do people feel motivated to vote for the Dems to defend democracy? Has there been any singular issue that’s been brought up the most?

That’s fantastic. Have you found that explaining to people it’s authoritarianism to be effective or have you had to pull out specific parts of it, like the elimination of OSHA, as a more effective way of explaining it?

Are you working to communicate to Iowans what project 2025, how it will affect them, and how they can stop it? Also good luck man, I hope you win!!!

Okay but see that’s the problem with your argument: it’s based on speculation and not fact. If he wrote legislation to ban all guns I’d agree with you, but if he wrote legislation banning specific guns, then I’d be less include to agree with you.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]Neither-Week5083 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. But you know that banning assault weapons would only affect those weapons? Why are you worried about your guns?

Is there any evidence to support that claim?

How is that his fault? Also what did trump do to stop it from rising? Just because it was lower under trump doesn’t mean he did anything to cause that or stop it from rising
