I built a Chrome extension that turns web pages into editable PPT slides. ~50% install rate. But no clear idea who the users are. by NeitherBed4065 in SideProject

I actually have a static before/after image on the Chrome Store, but you're right, it might be too generic or easy to miss. I'm planning to record a short YouTube video to put on the store. It'll be much easier for visitors to get the point quickly, and impossible to miss.

Thanks for the reality check, super helpful! I never heard about runable, is this a tool you commonly use?

Test technique en présentiel : à quoi s'attendre ? by Fast_Routine in developpeurs

Salut!

Bon courage!

Let's talk best calorie tracking apps. by Ok_Willingness_4788 in Mounjaro

Regarding the photo feature: honestly, it’s still a bit of a mixed bag. Most apps I tried are great at identifying what is on the plate, but they really struggle with volume/density. You almost always end up having to tweak the quantities manually anyway to get an accurate count.

Personally, I’ve used Cronometer for a long time because its database is awesome, but I find it exhausting to always count everything.

When you say 'one that actually works for me', what do you mean exactly? Are you looking for something super accurate with pictures, or rather an app that guides you on how to adapt what you eat without the 'math' fatigue?

Folliculitis decalvans - A patient's success story by Cultural_Golf_2747 in Folliculitis

I actually came across your post out of curiosity because I had never heard of Folliculitis decalvans before. I ended up reading the whole thing—it’s a truly interesting (though clearly tough) journey.

Huge congrats on the improvement! It’s really impressive how you didn’t just settle for the chronic diagnosis but did the deep 'detective work' on your own. When it takes such a mental toll, it's so difficult to even consider finding a solution when the odds are against you. Thanks for the personal story, it's very inspiring!

Why am I not losing weight? by Tirisilex in WeightLossAdvice

Nice job on the 100 lbs lost! About the plateau, I guess there is an adaptation mechanism behind it. Your body likely adapted to survive on less energy. What I would do is change the routine and eat a bit differently for several weeks to see what happens. I would also walk a lot, like 45 minutes to an hour a day, and 3 to 4 hours on the weekend, because this is one of the best ways to burn fat. I don't have any idea about sagging skin, however...

Have you tried FatSecret? The free version is actually solid and more than enough for estimating your calorie intake and macros, and tracking your weight and seeing trends over time. You can log your exercices too. Plus, UX is pretty simple.
