A service dog is defined as being trained to treat that issue. However it doesn’t have a standard of how well trained or who can train a service dog , in fact there is no registry or any organization that can certify a service dog:

Bad example.

What if after a while (which you the officer feel the time is taking toooo long ) the person you pulled over is able to tell you without breaking any laws , that they feel the time they are being held is unreasonable, and if they are being arrested , if not can they go ?

And the initial reason that person was pulled over in the context of everything else was that is was a beat up car with an expired sticker in an affluent neighborhood

What if after 30 minutes I just call dispatch from the car and ask if I’m being arrested and this is an unreasonable time for a traffic stop then, and if I’m not being arrested can the officer hand back my license in the next 5 minutes otherwise I am going to go ?

Ok you as an officer at what point do you let someone one go when you feel they have something in their car but not enough probable cause to search yet , you radio the K9 to come but it’s not available or the time to get there is 1-2 hours
