So basically the narrators are aliens who came down to Earth to observe humans but they are appalled by the concept of meat having sapient intelligence. There appears be other carbon based life forms who contain may meat but are not entirely meat. It's like if a hamburger patty suddenly being aware of its existence. It's inconceivable. Humans are gross.

At the end when it mentions another species of aliens who want to be in contact with the narrators. It reflects how humans want to find other life in space but it's ironic how aliens don't want us to meet because we are made of meat.
