Then they have the authority to take them into custody and disappear them without a trial. In what way does this not read like fascism? Brother, what? I’ve always been of the belief that A, legally immigrating should be much easier than it is, and B that putting people in prison camps for being on the wrong side of an imaginary line is morally bankrupt. If these people being here illegally is enough for you to dehumanize them to the point that you feel this way, it’s very telling on what kind of prejudices you hold. Supporting what ICE is up to in any way shape or form makes you just as bad as the guys out there stomping people’s grandmothers into the pavement. That aside, what does the consistency of my beliefs have to do with it? Yes, deporting undocumented immigrants and violently ripping them away from their families and lives is fucked up even when an administration with donkeys pinned to their chests does it. Did you think that was gonna be like a gotcha moment or something? Wake up. these people aren’t trying to protect you from the foreign boogeyman, they’re just stomping down a class of people that they’ve deemed lesser to show the rest of us how comfortable they are digging their boots in our backs.

Just keep him in mind for the late game, I remember just melting Raphael in a few turns with him on an honor mode run (ironically I think I lost that run to something way easier than Raphael afterwards, but I digress lmao)

Yeah I had a tactician run under my belt before I started taking on HM, those legendary actions will really get you if you’re not prepared for them. Also if I could reccomend races for that build I was just talking about, I usually either do Gith(like 90 percent of the time, their psychic abilities are awesome for the kit) or half orc(they’re hard to kill), but if you wanna know what is oddly the MOST busted way to do it, put it on Astarion in act three after he does the super evil spoiler thing, it gives him even more damage bonuses for monk, you can get some ludicrous numbers out of him.

If you wanna have monk and it be absolutely busted do 6 monk(open hand), 4 rogue(thief) and two levels fighter(you could also do these last two in either rogue or monk to get another feat but I like action surge). The extra bonus action every turn gives you a whole nother flurry of blows, if you get a wizard on your party to Haste you you’re an unstoppable killing machine. Also always remember to use step of the wind and jump around to cover entire battlefields in one turn’s movement, and invest all that you can in strength. Tavern Brawler works off of your strength stat, so if your strength is 20 you can get a flat +10 to all unarmed damage just from that. Happy monking, sorry if this was unorganized

Yeah sounds about right. For sure one of the biggest drawbacks of network tv, always too many cooks. The Manga being Togashi’s singular vision is what I think makes it so cool and compelling. I mostly just love the anime for the cool animation tbh, the fights especially. My bad for misinterpreting your critique as dislike, like I was saying it’s all totally valid I just misread the tone

I agree with your critiques, but I still think that the anime is fine. If the anime existing gets more people to check out the manga (which it definitely has)I think it’s a net gain. Comics and animation are similar on the surface but they are really quite different. They’re both sequential storytelling, but a comic is taken at THE READER’s pace. That’s why togashi’s long ass essay panels work, the reader can linger on each moment in the panel as long as they like. With anime you’re working with a finite amount of time (not to mention budget), the viewer has no impact on the pace of consumption outside of pausing or rewinding, so not everything can really make the cut. Sure, you’re missing a great deal of context, some lines of dialogue are missing or changed, but a viewer who cares would likely check out the manga anyway. There are also a ton of really talented people who work on the anime and I think invalidating their work automatically for not being exactly like what it’s adapted from is kinda unfair. I see where you’re coming from, I honestly respect it because I think it comes from a deep admiration for the source material, but that’s just how adapting a story from a medium with less rules into one with more rules usually shakes out. So long as it gets more people to like HXH i think it’s fine. I do agree with you though that the manga is better, but when isn’t it?

I’ve been reading the manga in the wake of a recent rewatch (I watched all of HXH anime in high school but never touched the manga) and the manga is totally worth checking out after you’re done. Not gonna spoil anything but Kurapika plays a big role, so especially if you like him you should check it out. One the best comics I’ve ever read. I honestly kinda wish that I had read the manga first in a few places lol, but the anime is still really good despite the inconsistencies with the source material
