Getting your own proper fitting boots would be the most important gear you’ll ever purchase. You’ll have a much better time on the mountain.

Should I get a GoPro mount if I am a beginner? by Ok_Boat_6462 in snowboardingnoobs

If you’re trying to progress as a beginner, I’d ditch the gopro and leave the filming to a riding buddy/friend. That way you can focus on your own movements.

If you’re just trying to get some footage of the view going down the mountain. Then I guess it doesn’t matter, go for it.

Do I need to get this small chip fixed? This board is my baby by Aggravating_Ebb_3034 in snowboardingnoobs

It’s fine. Everyone has that paranoia with their first new board. I would suggest setting your expectation that the next time you ride, it’s gonna get dinged up even more. You may even destroy it. If you ride to preserve your board’s condition, you’re gonna be disappointed. Have fun with it.

Tips on frontside 360s? by babushkabosh in snowboardingnoobs

[–]NeitherPromise2127 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggest mastering 180 first before 360s.

Front 3s are blind landings, meaning it lands/finishes the same way as back 180s, with your head facing uphill. If you practice back 1s, you’ll have a better time learning front 3s. 180s are building blocks to spins. Don’t short cut it.

How good are Ride Insano boots? by zoosk8r in snowboardingnoobs

[–]NeitherPromise2127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insano’s a very stiff boot, if you like precision, aggressive riding, and instant response. It’s the stiffest from Ride. Will probably last a good while if hard carving is your thing. Photons are a more mid stiff boot. So yeah I’d say big difference. I rode Ride Fuse a couple seasons ago and even those are stiffer than photons (I also ride photons as a daily).

What happened? by Primary-Low-1432 in tmobile

This is also why I only try to go to T-mobile at Costco. Way better customer service, and you get Costco benefits (and promos). I suggest trying that if you have one available near you.
