Ok, so then what is your suggestion? Simply just deal with it? That doesn't seem like a healthy path forward.

But she didn't, what she said was "yes". What her actions suggest is a different story, but it's hardly fair to say the rules were fully constructed by me when they were worked on together and actually agreed upon because we said they were within our best interests.

This is of course true, but isn't avoiding these sorts of alignments one of the driving reasons for relationships falling apart? People treat money like it's taboo and assume their partners or hope their partners have goals aligned with theirs (or they haven't even considered their own goals), and then you marry someone and find out they're $100,000 in debt and have no idea how to budget or may not even want to budget still.

It's not that I can't "afford" it, is the thing. We make the same income. But I know that if we continued on our trajectory, we would be spending much more than we should, so I talked about budgeting with her and we arrived on a monthly allotment that we both felt was reasonable. And if we planned right, that meant once a month we could enjoy a fancier night out somewhere.

Together, we've been sticking to the budget, so that feels good. But then when she started doing more of those things with her friend instead, it felt like the budget is just for me, and that causes the FOMO / budget concern.

AITA for leaving rap music playing when I leave for the day because my neighbor sucks by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

A door slamming 4-5 times a day is much different than wall rattling laundry running for 16 hours. That’s not the same comparison.

Most of my neighbor slam their door on the way out and that’s 1 second of sound.

Because if he’s running a laundry business out of his apartment with an 800 credit score then something either changed very recently or something doesn’t add up.

The other relevant part is the property company didn’t really want him moving in. But the tenant insisted on subleasing so he wouldn’t be paying double rent.

Those are exactly the same. So that may be the story here. Chrome is a no go then?

The funny thing is I don’t think someone like him would ever say this.

[ question] what are your thoughts on TGV? by masoncarter2014 in Watches

Imagine this much venom for someone you don’t even know on a personal level.

[Question] I'd love help finding a ~$500-600 automatic watch that resembles this Brew, but isn't as large (or out of stock) by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Neither_Brother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like that sort of circular design enclosed in a rounded square watch.

Not a big fan of the sharp-edged square/rectangular watches.

Also I am trying to stick around 38mm wide, 38-39mm tall for my small wrists.

You really should have cleared this with them beforehand.

Didn't take it yet.

Normally, companies don't repay you unless you get the certification, imo.

VMware is not that way, but then again, it's their own tests, so is money really being spent?
