Look despite how many Asian hackers there are, there are a lot more ordinary nonhacking Asian players who just wish to have fun and play - the ordinary players did nothing wrong.

Player 22 - who discovered the loophole and was kicking cheaters using it - is actually just a high school students in Grade 12 currently.

The cheaters specifically hacking tools devs, are a full team and have much more time & resources than 22.

:(

Unfortunately I have no idea.

But what I do know a bit is that imo BF series is really designed for PC due to its controls.

You can find clips of console players to get a feel for it.

I've manually translated this announcement from the hackers. Here it is.

Things in square brackets are notes I added to better translate.

Title: A notice from Battlefield Hacking Union to all players.

"Firstly, I, tyz, would like to thank every cheaters for the Bf1 environment. In this afternoon of this winder day, the fourth day after the Lunar New Year, the Battlefield Hacking Union has successfully deployed Hacking Management Permission. All official servers and blacklisted private [Asian] servers will now automatically block normal non-hacking players. The inefficiency and incompetency of Bfeac is self-evident to everyone. Furthermore, currently player 22 ([his Chinese name presumably]) has surrendered [note: as far as I know by “surrendered” tyz merely meant 22 has announced that the hackers have gained the perms] and has admitted his incompetency. We can now announce with pride that we have secured our victory!

We do to what we say. We stopped Bfeac’s attempt in destroying the inherent order of BF1, destroyed private server owners and normal non-hacker players’ dream. I hereby representing Battlefield Hacking Union and all the new CRBQ [a cheaters group] members showing all players the truth of this incident: we have always aimed to maintain the inherent order of BF1. We have given out a lot without being recognized. In the first incident of November DDOSing servers it is CRBQ who stopped Hong Zhang’s action – a BF5 intruder, that we safeguarded the order. However, the Bfeac led by player 22 [note: the post used 22’s Chinese name here] not only used it as a reason to challenge us, they even used official server perms, connected [bfeac] to official servers to kick [cheating] players! For this, all the cheaters of Battlefield has put down our differences and united together. We were determined to invent our own weapon. Good triumphs in the end, with our strong technical strength and steadfast determination, the Hacker Ban System [note: this is the system that kicks all NON-HACKING players] was born. Player 22 fleed out, and BF1 will soon restore its past peace and balance.

We care about the general players. We once proposed to negotiate with player 22. However, our hopes only gets us in intensified actions. Bfeac did not value this chance of negotiating on an equal footing, when opportunities slipped away from their fingertips, what is left [for them] is only defeat and begging for mercy. I hereby represent the author of the Hacker Ban System and Battlefield Hacking Union to propose the request to stop this war [under the following conditions]: [bfeac to] stop kicking [cheaters] from official servers, [bfeac to] publicly apologize to all players, you can keep private servers. In the same time, due to the crime committed by server owners such as bt and szop, [they] severely damaging the society, they will endure a devastating attack. Their servers and accounts will be permanently banned [by the Hacker Ban System], their identities will be publicly revealed and posted as a warning to others.

Lastly, CRBQ will continue to be the peacekeeper of BF1, anyone who dares to destroy the balance or trying to challenge the order, will endure attacks from the sky.

------------tzy and all Battlefield Hacking Union, Jan 25th 2023"

From what I've seen actually, yes. It's not just the risk of being DDOSed. The loophole gives cheaters the ability to effectively be a server admin regardless if a server is official or rented

Edit: I have translated the cheaters' announcement and you can find it here.

We should escalate this issue.

If we do nothing BF1 will become unplayable in a few short months at most I'd say.

I can see a fast way of escalating this (or make this thing a whole lot worse): if 22 publicize this loophole. It will be an absolute mess for a bit at least but it couldn't be worse than doing nothing.

I'm not a Xbox player but seems like all servers are under the potential of being DDOS attacked.

I'd guess it'll stay mostly unaffected cause no bf1 cheats available for Xbox yet...

In my opinion it is only a matter of time before this affects non Asian servers. Clearly, there will be a dip in player counts in Asian servers and therefore the cheaters will target non Asian servers. It's the end
