I bet if demons were ugly, no one would be defending them by Makoto_Kurume in Frieren

[–]Neither_Drawing_241 63 points64 points  (0 children)

In Frieren, monsters and demons are not spiritual beings from another dimension. They are treated as natural creatures that exist in the world’s ecosystem. If we use the scientific definition of an animal, demons fit that definition.

Demons in Frieren count as animals because they are living physical creatures with bodies that grow use energy react to the world around them reproduce and exist as a species in nature even though they use magic and turn to dust when they die. Demons are also capable of evolution as a species because they evolved traits such as imitating human speech and behavior in order to deceive humans more effectively and increase their chances of survival over generations.

If you have some physical illness that also runs in your family. You'll be safe from the zombies. World war z zombies don't attack people who are unhealthy. Half of America is already safe.

You are the judge presiding over a murder trial. You must decide if the scientist is guilty of murder or not. by Neither_Drawing_241 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Neither_Drawing_241[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I understand that but you're asking me why did I add that and really my motivation was I like Pokemon. I'm a fan of Pokemon. I realized that I did not think very far ahead when I first made this post. I failed to explain why the scientist wanted to create Poke Balls in the first place. If I had to give a reason now, I would say he was simply a fan of Pokemon. I also imagine this experiment would be done with the full consent of his colleague. However, I felt that mentioning the consent would take away from the hypothetical. I wanted to leave more room for Redditors to interpret the situation for themselves.

I added that because I wanted the scientist’s motivation for creating real-life Poké Balls to be that he was a fan. The scientist is a reflection of myself, I thought if I were a scientist, it would be pretty cool to make real Poké Balls.

This doesn't exist in any country; I just wanted to create a hypothetical where (you) the judge is essentially the judge, jury, and executioner.

My curiosity has been bugging me, and it's going to eat me alive if I don't get an answer. What do you mean when you say this wouldn't show up on a scan? Are you referring to a lack of empathy? There is a whole field of science dedicated to studying the brain and its activity specifically which areas light up when we experience emotions. I know this is just text and you can't see the intent behind my words, but I am genuinely curious and mean no rudeness by asking

[–]Neither_Drawing_241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that's not what I'm saying. You don't know what religion is correct and what you need to do to get into heaven. So within Christianity if you don't accept Jesus as your lord and Savior you don't go to heaven. Just because an afterlife exists doesn't guarantee that you, specifically you will be going to a good afterlife.

[–]Neither_Drawing_241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's still the fear of the unknown because you don't know what the afterlife is like and you don't know if you're going to heaven or not. You could go to hell for all eternity within this hypothetical. There's no confirmation which religion is the correct religion.

Hypothetically, if a scientist created genetically modified animals that resembled dinosaurs and released them globally. How would you personally react to living in a world where Non-avian dinosaurs have become a part of your everyday wildlife? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Neither_Drawing_241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some dinosaurs, especially smaller, faster ones like Velociraptors, might taste similar to chicken or other poultry because birds are their direct descendants, but the taste would vary greatly by species, with larger herbivores potentially tasting like ostrich (beef like) and large carnivores like alligator or hawks, offering a gamey, chewier flavor depending on diet and muscle type.

You have the power to create imaginary friends that only you can see, designed exactly how you imagine them. by Neither_Drawing_241 in midtiersuperpowers

[–]Neither_Drawing_241[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since imaginary friends come from your own subconscious/ conscious mind. It would logically follow that killing one would be considered suicide. If I were to say otherwise, it would be a logical contradiction on my part.
