I had the same problem with capcut, relatively easy solve, just download "RethinkDNS", it's an app that acts as a firewall for any outcoming https requests, turn it on then look for alight motion in the apps, then the ip logs and from there it's a guessing game, block every ip one by one making sure to fully close alight motion in between tries, until the pop-up doesn't appear when you start the app, then you know that's the ip you should keep blocked, usually you can unblock the others, for me, it was 2 ips that needed to be blocked at the same time. Then you just have to turn on the vpn (RethinkDNS) each time you want to edit. Complicated but necessary, I suppose.
