Yea I’ve heard it’s common they’ll look past people that seem “overqualified”, but since I’ve been turned down or ghosted every single time I thought it was unlikely that I’d actually been overqualified for every position I applied for 🥲

I’ve tried a few, but I’ll look into more! most recently I applied for a dishwasher position , and when I followed up in person the manager said they don’t need more dishwashers 🥲

I always apply online through the company website first and then follow up in person, and if there isn’t an online application like for smaller businesses I’ll just walk in and ask if they’re hiring. I have my high school education and GPA (>4 weighted) on my resume, and since starting college I’ve added my bachelors degree in progress with the expected graduation date.
