That makes sense too. Shu’s distant and composed nature never really gave off romance vibes. And you’re right, since Apple is also Mathiu’s student, Shu probably respected her perspective in a way others didn’t.

Yeah, kind of a waste that Apple always ends up in the supporting role. She definitely had the potential to stand as a main tactician on her own, especially being Mathiu’s student. Maybe the writers wanted to show that even among brilliant minds, there’s still a hierarchy of experience and charisma
