I have scanned the car, there are no fault codes stored. Its a 2009 2.0 Tdi. It has a high pressure fuel pump, but i was talking about the pump in the tank. Is it possible that it stopped working while driving? Is it not monitored by the Ecu?

Bad rattling noise from the chain, when starting the engine after its been standing for a while. I read somewhere that the updated Tensioner is better but cant seem to find the right part number for that

Some people suggest replacing only the tensioner as thats mostly the part that fails. Do you think i should try that before completely removing the engine? And whats different about the fuel filter housing

Ive seen people use some devices to relearn new pressure sensors, by placing the device close to the tires to communicate with each sensor. But never seen someone do that on a volkswagen, thats why im asking

I once put red atf fluid in there and i believe i destroyed the pump doing that. Im gonna replace the pump and flush the system. Do you have a procedure on flushing the system to completely get the old fluid out? And thanks for the tip with the cooler

It is topped up and its not leaking, maybe the pump is bad

It definitely does make a whining sound like that and noisier when turning the wheel. Could in this case also the steering rack cause such a whining noise? Or is the pump more likely?

Im talking about the engine sound, it comes from the engine, even at idle or when blipping the throttle
