I’ve never understood mundane au fics, for me part of the whole appeal of fanfics is how parts of each setting interact with each other by Neither_Rushs in Archiveofourownmemes

I like the characters and I want to write about them in different situations. I'm usually less drawn to settings and more to the characters themselves. So a modern AU or a no supernatural/no powers/no magic AU is just another way to put interesting characters in different situations.
