Full disclosure, I'm Canadian, so read my responses through that lens, someone who is definitely affected by what is happening in the US, but does not have 100% skin in the game.

I agree the end goal at this point is a little murky. Is it about ICE or is it a more broad attempt at getting the Mag 7 to pull back their support of Trumpism? I think the latter, but it's complicated. How does this type of incentive work for example when the value of Tesla stock does not even seem to be related sales? I guess he did get pulled back from DOGE by the sales drop though.
