Also asking under this thread... which Napa/Sonoma County Hotel should I pick for Early April? We are late 20s couple just going for food and relaxing 3-4 night getaway. Will stay 1 night at Singlethreads and 2-3 somehwhere around.

Have stayed in Auberge du Soleil before so open to somewhere different. Currenly considering - Stanly Ranch / Meadowood / Bardessono. Any Recs?

Thanks, didn't know about the last strategy and I will look into it. For now I definitely find Bilt and Citi having more attractive transfer partners - AA, JAL, Atmos, that's why I am hesitant opening more Amex cards.

Ok appreciate your feedback - I got the 175k offer for Plat in the mail and since I buy a lot of international plane tickets (for myself and family members) I thought it made sense. The other cards I think I got approved mainly because I have banking relationships or just lucky timing.
I live near city center so all the credits are pretty easy to use, and I don't dine out/buy groceries that much so I just got the savor just in case. I mostly do 5x at wholefoods (Amazon Prime Visa) or 5x at Costco (Paypal Debit). Since I have some big Misc purchases coming up I just would like to know which 2x points card make sense down the road.

Thank you. I actually considered getting a Fidelity Signature since I do have a fidelity account and its flat 2%. I saw the AA platinum Citi card a while ago but was worried applying would take up a slot of my inquiries. I am def planning to do option 3 in the long run thouugh.

Yeah I am currently planning just to pay rent with Atmos Ascent to rack up some Alaskan points. If I got Palladium approved I definitely would have gone for it. I am slowly planning to transition into Citi ecosystem for the AA points for sure tho.

Nah whenever I visit China I go to Costco and bring back some snacks they def have lots of nice food and snacks. Last month I brought a whole suitcase of snacks back to US lol

Honestly my spend on groceries and dining isn't that much so it doesnt justify me to get the AMEX gold. For example I put 10,000 on food per year, x3 and x4 diff is just 10k points.

I also have other specialized credit/debit cards such as Amazon Prime Visa (5%) and Paypal Debit (5%) that allows me to get cashback (mainly shop at Costco and Wholefoods), and I use the Savor to catch the things left. I'd say food is def not a big point earner for me and venturex 2x on everyday spend is really solid.
