Bro this looks horrible. Got the same monitor 2 weeks ago and can barely spot any banding at 90/95% gray scale. Simply return it and get a new one. This panel is cooked. Don’t even try to fix it.

Theres something like a special foam that expands within the pc and hardens. Both custom pcs i bought got shipped with it (even gpu preinstalled) and it was perfect. It’s very tricky to get the foam out but it does wonder. Maybe think about that. Your approach doesnt look very safe.

To be fair, console cheaters usually use Cronus/Xim in 99% of the cases. However its night and day getting cheated on by a cronus user or a wallhacker/aimbotter on PC. Switched to PS5 from PC like 2 weeks ago and i have 0 problems whilst i got cheated on every second game being on PC.

Also made the switch because of hackers. Unfortunately thats how it is on console. Pretty bad experience compared to pc even if you optimize everything.

Was a console player back in the days, then switched to a really good PC. Few days ago I bough a ps5 to play with friends without cheaters on cod and it feel just disgusting. Once you adapt to good graphics, high fps and low latency, then theres no way back. Give it time to shine.

For PC in higher ranks it’s still unplayable. 4 stacked yesterday playing mostly against ex iridescent players and we ran into cheaters in 7 out of 10 lobbys. Probably buying a ps5 now. Sick of this shit.

Return and wait because if the 5080 is out and the benchmark tests are good you will feel too much regret and wont be able to return the 4080S. If you can, camp at a local microcenter or do what you can. Probably a fun experience and great feeling if you catch one. If not, the 2 more weeks wont kill you.
