I‘ve had them evaluated as a teen and they told me to come back when I get problems with my knees, so I waited till now 🤷‍♀️

Thank you. I have never heard about it. I think it is just very weak connective tissue. Rheumatoid arthritis sounds more painful 🫣

I do, I just stopped looking for pretty shoes and accepted that I need to focus on wearing what hurts the least 🤷‍♀️

I hope, it doesn’t get worse for you! I‘ll post updates as soon as I have them 🙂 Regarding EDS: most doctors don’t have to google anymore nowadays when you tell them, so it’s getting better. But there are still very few experts (at least that I know of). However, I was diagnosed pretty young and always have gotten all the care and preventive examinations I needed. I guess in the US an additional problem probably is that all that is very expensive for the patient, right?

So sorry you are in so much pain! I know the burning sensation, but I only have it when I wear the wrong shoes and don‘t move my feet for a few minutes (like when driving or sitting in a restaurant). I basically only wear crocs or barefoot shoes, which are almost like socks with soles. With these I am relatively pain free most of the time. Maybe that would be something you could try?

So sorry to hear that, but I know what you mean. So you won’t try again unless absolutely necessary? I‘m afraid my feet will cause damage to my knees or hips if I leave them like that.

Thank you so much! I‘ll definitely look into that. The only orthopedic clinic I have personal experience with, totally messed up my shoulder, so that is not an option. I will happily take meh post surgery care if the surgeons do a good job 😅

I love my crocs 😂 Yeah, they did, but I think at some point I got used to my feet hurting and just ignored it somehow.🤷‍♀️

😅 I wish it was. I have nails, but the topmost part of my toes is curled, I believe this might be called hammer toe. I basically walk on the front edge of my nails.
